Today was the Coach VIP event I was invited to and it was very fun. I wasn’t sure what to expect but my two lovely SAs were working so that was fun to catch up.

Pretty candy snacks. I ate a macaron. I love gummy candies but I had a bad incident with a crown and a chewy candy so no more for me.

@Syren here’s our Parker (with a few rivets) with my dark denim Dinky 24. I didn’t buy it. The colour is beautiful but the pocket on the back was not terribly functional as @Alexa5 mentioned to me and I can’t get past the signature print. Please excuse the shadows.

Hey, guess what?! Scratch cards!

There’s a special pop-up store at the mall in my city so these cards must be leftovers from there. I got 25% off a full priced item! My SA had the floral print Charlie in black put on hold for me. But I thought it through and I couldn’t bring myself to pay the price (even with the discount) so I bought the cute pink kisslock change purse instead.

I also bought the medium cadet blue wallet with pink crystal rivets that matches my Charlie. The roses wristlet is a gift for a colleague. I was happy I didn’t buy a bag. I’ve been enjoying my Rogues and Speedies a lot and don’t need so many bags after all.

My gifts from the evening. I love my card case in saddle. I’m going to embellish it with one of those cute stud pins when the summer holidays start. Fun projects!

Here's what decided to bloom today. I am so excited! I texted all my gardening friends. I've been waiting for two years for this to bloom. My poppy has two buds so hopefully tomorrow the other one will bloom. I love this colour so much and that gorgeous structure on the inside. It was swaying in the wind so I took a ton of photos just to get this one.

Those white flowers on the grass are from an azalea my brother-in-law gave me which was basically dead but I've been able to bring it back. We had lots of flowers so now I need to dig up some more lawn to plant it in the ground. It's been in a pot since last winter.

Beautiful! It feels so nice when a plant finally grows up!

Looks like a lot of fun! How cool to get a scratch off! I love your little kisslock, could it be large enough to use as a clutch? It’s just so cute I’d want to use it and carry it haha

If you have a shady area and are leaning on perennials, i would highly recommend Hosta and sedum, so many varieties.. in the largest bed i have many of these. It's over 90% shade so i have to stick to plants suitable for this also due it's size i prefer not to replant each year. I also have lilly of the valley and bluebells in it.

I actually used to have a couple of hostas in this area! It was many years ago maybe almost 9 or 10. I can’t remember why we took them out, probably because I wanted more room for flowers haha How ironic. This is a good idea. I do have a good spot for one, I never plant anything in this spot and it’s a bit unsightly. I may do a little research and call my fav nursery to see what they have. Thanks!

I love all your colourful flower selections--it seems like a cottage garden which is so pretty and fun.

I saw that HS suggested the perennial hosta for your shady area which is really beautiful, but the emphasis is on the leaf structure. Another perennial which grows nicely is Brunnera-I like the one called "Jack Be Nimble." Beautiful leaves with some very tiny purple/blue flowers in mid-spring. There's also pulmonaria, again with lovely spotted leaves and blue flowers. It's also mid-spring flowering. These are the shade perennials I have growing, along with bleeding heart (pink and white) and astilbe. None of them have showy flowers but you'd have some structure with these plants as they'd grow back every year and get bigger. The shrubs in my shady area are hydrangea, rhododendron and azaleas, and the perennials fill in. These would all be useful for your "part sun" garden bed.

Your bulbs are so lovely. Are you replanting every year? I'm not sure if those ones naturalize themselves. The allium grows in the shade and sun as I have some in both kinds of areas but mine have never multiplied! You are so lucky!

It is kinda like a cottage garden! I do love changing it each year but it would be much more manageable if I had more perennials and filler on at least one side. I’ll look into Brunnera, don’t know much about that one! I have a gorgeous Hydrangea on the side with more sun. I have to water it a lot but so many people have commented on how great mine looks and always ask what I do to it haha nothing! I think it just really likes it’s spot.

I don’t replant my bulbs lol I know I probably should. There is a bush at one end of my part sun bed that I think is on its last legs, I always pruned it into a mini tree and gave it a cute shape, but I think my BF secretly hates it and has been hacking away at it and it’s not as cute anymore and looks awful the past few years. It’s too late to dig it out as it will disturb everything so maybe in the Fall. But I’ll look into everything suggested! Thanks!

Well, it's been a rough month here. A water heater leak cost us $1400 out of pocket and a homeowners insurance claim, so that wasn't fun. Could have been far worse, but it still sucked. :)

And now I'm on crutches, unable to walk. :( Background - I have severe plantar fasciitis, which is an inflammation/thickening of the tendon that runs the long way through the bottom of your foot. It's very painful, not super treatable, and I've been dealing with severe PF in my left foot, and mild PF in my right foot, for years. I have extensive tearing and shredding of that tendon in the left foot.

Sunday night I was chasing our pug puppy around the back yard, and managed to slip and further injure that tendon on my bad foot pretty severely, causing even more tearing, and unbearable pain. Saw my podiatrist yesterday and he gave me the bad news that I may not be able to walk for two weeks or more.

Good news is that the super slick knee scooter below is being delivered today. I do not do well on crutches, having chronic back and shoulder issues. The scooter will hopefully enable me to go back to working at the office, as I work in a large building. I might want to invest in a helmet...I anticipate some wheeeeeeeee! moments in my near future. Hopefully my body decides to cooperate in healing at least back to the pain level I was at before the Sunday night injury.

Oh no your poor foot! Hopefully the scooter helps you rest your foot while still remaining mobile. My coworker used one when he had to have foot surgery and he loved it! Once he stopped using it he had to admit getting around the office took a lot longer lol Wishing you a speedy recovery!

What a fun event. I like your new pink coin purse. It’s good that you didn’t buy a bag if nothing called your name loudly :).
