Thank you! That bag is so flippin’ gorgeous I can’t stand it.![]()
Hello my beloved ban islanders! It's been a rough two weeks and I have come in to tpf off and on for bits of time - never enough time to enjoy my favorite thread. Now I have 30+ pages to read!I'm sure I'll enjoy every last one.
I promise I have been good. No bag or slg shopping for me.
Now off to read every juicy bit.![]()
You??? I can't believe it!Yes, if you go over there, you will see there were a couple of us that are guilty of purchasing multiple items. lol! (lowers head in shame, and hopes the items come in bad condition!)
She's a real beauty! Here she is! [emoji7] Riding with me to go pick up my son from school. View attachment 4434521
Oh dear! That has happened to me with other things so many times. I get so frustrated with myself. Now you just have to have them. Hope you can use and enjoy them.Hi. An update to my April bag splurge saga. I tried to return the signature Sutton to Macy’s but was told it was past the 30 day return period for Last Act items. I didn’t know about the 30 day period. I missed it by 3 days. I would try to sell it but I don’t have time to sell (for the rest of this year
). My black bag was also a Last Act item — missed the return by 1 day. My DB tote was not a Last Act but I like it the best out of the three so I am not returning it.
So then, I ended up with 4 new bags in April (including my new Kristin). I am done for awhile. Still at a “reasonable” number of bags for a TPFer. Thanks for all your advice and sharing this saga with me![]()
I hear you!
To make myself feel better after losing an auction or best-offer negotiation, I tell myself it wasn't meant to be.
There will be others, I say, I'll just keep looking (even though I already spend countless hours, some of them in the dead of night, trawling the vast oceans of the internet for vintage Coach deals). This works pretty well; however, since this is supposed to be the Involuntary Ban thread, you did not read this here.
I remind myself that I don't really need another bag. (This rarely works.)
I get out a bag I already own, sprucing it up with conditioner, getting it ready to wear...or sell.
Yikes! I hope you are better! Thanks!!
Yes and no lol. I ended up with a ton of stitches on my leg but was feeling good until a call for a horse stuck deep in mud. I thought I would be good duct taping a garbage bag around my leg but the mud still got in and now I'm on antibiotics for infection. The poor horse is doing fine though!!
Wow that is incredible work. Hats off to you ans all in the crew.I'm doing well now. I've been volunteering for our local animal shelter. Mostly doing trap/neuter/release for ferals, socializing potential adoptees, and fostering sick/injured kitties. I fell through part of a barn with a fireman and tore my leg up. Maybe @LauraTracy can incorporate firemen in her next dirty book?! I have to say, there are quite a few gorgeous firemen here.
Here is the poor stuck horse from this week, I should have got some pics of the hot firemen that helped, what was I thinking?!![]()
Wow, that's so scary! What a sweet outcome.wow, what fulfilling work! That poor animal!
Did I ever tell you guys about the car accident I was in when I was in high school? I was trapped under the car and a young man pulled me out. He and I started dating. He was my first boyfriend. He was a carpenter but I inspired him to become a fireman.
I wanted a british tan Willis made in Costa Rica soooooooo baaaaaaaad but I either dilly dallied about spending the money (or finding the space for another vintage bag) and I missed out on a great BIN price or I got outbid on several auctions. I did eventually get one in near perfect condition for a good price. You just have to realize that you may have to wait a little bit for another try but most types of bags do show up again. It also helps me to gauge how badly I wanted the bag. If I lose an auction and shrug and say "meh", maybe I didn't want it bad enough. But if I feel heart broken and need a big piece of chocolate cake to feel better then I know I need to pounce on the next one I see!
As for the bf, he probably does take up a lot of space, most of them do. Once I got rid of mine I had a whole entire empty closet just for my bags!! Ha ha ha ha!![]()
I hope you find an even better one you love!
Sweet grandbaby! He is cute!I also want to see your fruit trees and your butterfly charm when you take pictures!
This is great! I sometimes wonder how it all fits in mine too!
Aw! Yay for getting the house organized? How did you convince them to get rid of things? I have paid thembefore. I'm thinking we'll have a big party next time they do a big clean out. I need ideas. I was just thinking how it's been a struggle lately getting rid of toys and games, and then my little one goes and gets rid of the toys that I love!
Backpacks are great! I used one as a diaper bag for my older two. I'm glad to hear you're enjoying your new one. I got tired of them after so many years (school, babies), but maybe a cute one would have made it more fun! Enjoy!
