I'm still bitter over the ending of GOT. It felt very "blah" to me lol. I'm excited for Good Omens, I love David Tennant!!!!

I know me too. I have mixed feelings on the ending. Jamie’s ending felt wrong when he was on the road to redemption for all the seasons. Dany’s ending felt unnatural. I don’t mind Jon’s ending because it was literally what he said he wanted (or didn’t want haha) but I felt like he should have battled Greyworm for his freedom or something. And I hated that Bron somehow ended up working his way up to a Lord! Hello he wanted to kill Tyrion and Jamie! The only ending I was satisfied with was Sansa.

Why have I never known how awesome small backpacks are until this past week?! I have been carrying my dark fairytale campus 23 from FOS and it's amazing!! It fits my necessities plus diapers/wipes for my youngest. It is so much easier to chase around my kids and carry my 2 year old. I think because it's small and the straps don't look like typical large school backpacks it's still super cute on. I would love a bigger size so that I could fit water and snacks as well but afraid it might lose its "cute" look, if that makes any sense lol.

I love my mini backpack! Like you said it’s so great to be hands free. I’m technically hands free with a crossbody bag but if I’m in a store and bending down to look at or grab things on lower shelves a bag can swing around and get in the way or touch the floor.

Jamie — swoon. I may the only one on the island who crushes on him—that’s ok, no competition then (lol).

This sounds very pretty! I’m looking forward to seeing it!
It's just the older butterfly charm from the factory but actually pretty nicely done all things considered, i used to have it on my blue grace albeit the HW was a mismatch lol... the black Grace is a better overall match with having silver HW.

Your grand baby is so sweet! I loved creating memories like this with my kids.

Thanks! my daughter and I scoped out firepit options to have a safer setting.. the fires typically here are done a bit to big to comfortably have around a toddler.

Both my beds face Northeast. I have the one figured out for what works best, the one side gets a lot of sun and less sun towards one end and finishes up with a corner that gets very little sun. I don’t plant anything fancy, but this bed does well with petunias, snapdragons, cosmos, marigolds, begonias, zinnia and towards the shady corner I plant impatiens as they’re the only flower that really thrives for me in the dark spot. This year I’m experimenting with some Dianthus to see if it’s another flower I can use here.

The other bed gets part sun and all the plants listed above do grow but never get as full as the other bed. I have some tulip bulbs, hyacinth, and Allium that come up in this bed every year for Spring. The Hyacinths started out strong but now I only get a few each year. I was only get one lonely Allium stalk for a few years but this year a bunch came up and are just starting blooming! I’m excited this one seemed to spread! I guess they like full sun so I probably planted them in the wrong location.

If you have a shady area and are leaning on perennials, i would highly recommend Hosta and sedum, so many varieties.. in the largest bed i have many of these. It's over 90% shade so i have to stick to plants suitable for this also due it's size i prefer not to replant each year. I also have lilly of the valley and bluebells in it.

It was “Justified”. DH watched Lost and liked it a lot (I watched an episode here and there). With Justified, I don’t know how we got so interested (besides the fact that my celeb crush is the lead, swoon, lol). This show went off the air around 2015 (I think) — even so, DH has been googling and reading old tv recap after each show. Plus he just ordered the short story it was based on.
I'll look it up! Thank you.

Hi TO! How are you? I've been working and got a bit of gardening in today. I planted some dahlias but have to be thoughtful as I'm weeding as I'm not sure what the dahlias look like when they are first coming up! I don't want to pull at them by mistake!

I'm glad you're having fun and making treats! Yum! I might make a pie this week. DH and DS are making noises about baked goods, please. Now that he's home for the summer, I'll have to show DS what to do so he can make a pie on his own.
Thank you! I'm doing well. Mmmm your pie must be good! I don't get to eat the sweet treats these days, but I like your idea for teaching your son how to make his pie!

Please show us your flowers when they bloom! I do not have a very green thumb but love flowers!

Aww...I went to visit a friend today and saw three of her four kitties. It was fun! I'm bag watching as well, but it's not really good for me. Makes me want things I didn't even know I needed. I rehabbed a bag last weekend so I took one down to consignment today. I need to make more room in my closet. I think I'm actually ok with that. I feel a Marie Kondo purge coming on.
Happy purging! We're getting rid of the hard stuff (for me) since it's mostly sentimental. The beautiful toys my youngest doesn't want anymore and I always thought I'd save for grandchildren, but instead we're passing them on for others to enjoy. It is good!

LOL... any advice for when you don't win an auction? How do you make yourself feel better?
I hope you find an even better one you love!

There will be others, I say, I'll just keep looking (even though I already spend countless hours, some of them in the dead of night, trawling the vast oceans of the internet for vintage Coach deals). This works pretty well; however, since this is supposed to be the Involuntary Ban thread, you did not read this here. ;)

We had a warm night finally got the marshmallows and fire going
Sweet grandbaby! He is cute! I also want to see your fruit trees and your butterfly charm when you take pictures!

My brain is so full stuff is falling out.
 This is great! I sometimes wonder how it all fits in mine too!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!! We spent a few days organizing the house and trying to convince the kids to get rid of old stuff they don't use anymore.
Aw! Yay for getting the house organized? How did you convince them to get rid of things? I have paid them  before. I'm thinking we'll have a big party next time they do a big clean out. I need ideas. I was just thinking how it's been a struggle lately getting rid of toys and games, and then my little one goes and gets rid of the toys that I love!

Backpacks are great! I used one as a diaper bag for my older two. I'm glad to hear you're enjoying your new one. I got tired of them after so many years (school, babies), but maybe a cute one would have made it more fun! Enjoy!

Hi C. Missed you. Hope you are well. Kiddos ready for summer soon? It’s been raining a bit here (kind of late in the year to be raining) — same for your area? The TPF app has been pulled due to privacy concern. Think you may have missed some non hots recently.

Ah yes! It’s been oddly “cold” around here. This is the first week in a while where the weather is going to stay in the mid to upper 70s. That’s a bummer about the app. I’m trying to get used to this mobile version. I haven’t been commenting bc it’s all at the bottom. I’ll have to get on my computer to really find the non hits. Lol.

I love all your colourful flower selections--it seems like a cottage garden which is so pretty and fun.

I saw that HS suggested the perennial hosta for your shady area which is really beautiful, but the emphasis is on the leaf structure. Another perennial which grows nicely is Brunnera-I like the one called "Jack Be Nimble." Beautiful leaves with some very tiny purple/blue flowers in mid-spring. There's also pulmonaria, again with lovely spotted leaves and blue flowers. It's also mid-spring flowering. These are the shade perennials I have growing, along with bleeding heart (pink and white) and astilbe. None of them have showy flowers but you'd have some structure with these plants as they'd grow back every year and get bigger. The shrubs in my shady area are hydrangea, rhododendron and azaleas, and the perennials fill in. These would all be useful for your "part sun" garden bed.

Your bulbs are so lovely. Are you replanting every year? I'm not sure if those ones naturalize themselves. The allium grows in the shade and sun as I have some in both kinds of areas but mine have never multiplied! You are so lucky!

Here's what decided to bloom today. I am so excited! I texted all my gardening friends. I've been waiting for two years for this to bloom. My poppy has two buds so hopefully tomorrow the other one will bloom. I love this colour so much and that gorgeous structure on the inside. It was swaying in the wind so I took a ton of photos just to get this one.

Those white flowers on the grass are from an azalea my brother-in-law gave me which was basically dead but I've been able to bring it back. We had lots of flowers so now I need to dig up some more lawn to plant it in the ground. It's been in a pot since last winter.
