Hi IM, I'm glad you're here. It's been a quiet 36 hours or so but I forgot about the Memorial Day weekend. Our holiday weekend was last week so I'm sure everyone is with family and doing things, as you say. Your Korean fried chicken sounds so good! I would like to try that one day. We have a nice Korean BBQ restaurant in our neighbourhood so I'll have to order that the next time.

The past two weekends I'm been working on evaluating learning resources so that's kept me busy. What a great learning process!

I've been looking at bags and accessories as well but I'm feeling a bit uncertain. Mostly because I've had to reorganize my closet a bit since acquiring my new Roots Gracie in January and then my MFF Coach Sage in March. Also, I'm going to Coach on Tuesday but must remember I cannot return anything I might buy if it's with the SAS sale. That is a huge deterrent as I like to know I can return if I wish.

Your graduation lei for DD sounds beautiful. Is this a family tradition? And what kind of flowers will be in it?

I'd love to hear more about your new favourite television show? I've been on a bit of mystery kick with Aurora Teagarden Mysteries, Murder She Baked Mysteries (Reading the books, too), and my British favourite, Midsomer Mysteries.

Hi ML. I know you have been real busy with the end of the school year. You have a few weeks of school left? Enjoy these final weeks with your little ones (it must be bittersweet each summer to say goodbye and send them off to the next grade). I forgot you are also busy with your new evaluator role, glad you re enjoying the process.

With Korean fried chicken, I have to admit I was never a huge fan until we found this one place. Usually, it tastes alright but not exceptional so with most places, we try it once and never go back. It’s not healthy obviously (lol) but I am so hooked on the ones from this place, lol.

I hope you have a great time at the Coach event. I have never had a relationship with any SA so I have never been invited to any event. When there was a Coach store near me, they called me one time about the annual SAS (I wasn’t even buying much at the time so I was surprised they called). Anyways, I am sure you will make the right decision about what to buy (or not buy). Looking forward to hearing about your event.

Regarding the graduation lei, I never even thought about getting one until I got an email about it from a fundraiser group from her school. I would have ordered directly from them (for a good cause, and save me the trouble) but the leis they have are white. The graduation gown is white — DD doesn’t want a white lei on the white gown. So I ordered a purple lei (just like the ones they give you when you arrive at your hotel in Hawaii) — we think purple would look good on her white gown. My friend offered to make DD a money lei (what an interesting concept, a lei made with dollar bills and floral leaves etc) but DD doesn’t like that idea (I don’t blame her).

I really loved the show Justified. I don’t usually like that type of slightly western, outlaw drama with a fair amount of violence. But all the characters were so good and great writing too (based on a short story by Elmore Leonard). I even bought a song from the soundtrack, lol.

It's been a day and a bit since we were all here. Everybody ok? Let us know.

I've been busy all weekend. Yesterday was groceries and dinner with my sister and brother-in-law. Today I worked all day on school stuff, and in the garden. How about everyone else?

Stick ran over my mailbox in a drunken bender Saturday so no way for me to get mail or any other deliveries right now. To say he's hiding because I swore he's now kindling, is being more than fair. I am going to torch him in a fire so big it will make Smokey the Bear cry.

Hi everyone! How has everyone been!? I’ve been quite busy lately. And when I did try to use tapatalk it said something about a plug-in not working. Did I miss any non hots?

Yes!!

LOL... any advice for when you don't win an auction? How do you make yourself feel better?

I dilly dallied about a bag, and someone else got it. Stupid, because I'd talked with the seller and I could have gotten it for $55 yesterday. (Sold for $83. And it was in amazing condition. And I haven't been watching the market for long enough to know when I might find another in comparable condition, for an ok price.)

Second time that this has happened in like, a week and a half. Both Court bags. *rolls eyes* Now I still only have my one Court, which is Bone and dingy AF.

On the other hand, I've purchased eight bags, all over the last three months. Three of which are in the process of being shipped. Drugs don't appeal to me, but apparently this does.

But I figure that if I purchase responsibly, sometimes that might mean losing items.

I don't want to pull the trigger every time I see something interesting, because don't want this:

A bit extreme, but you hear me. ;)

Oh, and I live in a city with notoriously small apartments downtown. Mine is 450 square feet. My boyfriend and I live together. So I have to have somewhere to keep him, not just the bags. ;D

I hear you!

To make myself feel better after losing an auction or best-offer negotiation, I tell myself it wasn't meant to be.

There will be others, I say, I'll just keep looking (even though I already spend countless hours, some of them in the dead of night, trawling the vast oceans of the internet for vintage Coach deals). This works pretty well; however, since this is supposed to be the Involuntary Ban thread, you did not read this here. ;)

I remind myself that I don't really need another bag. (This rarely works.)

I get out a bag I already own, sprucing it up with conditioner, getting it ready to wear...or sell.

I wanted a british tan Willis made in Costa Rica soooooooo baaaaaaaad but I either dilly dallied about spending the money (or finding the space for another vintage bag) and I missed out on a great BIN price or I got outbid on several auctions. I did eventually get one in near perfect condition for a good price. You just have to realize that you may have to wait a little bit for another try but most types of bags do show up again. It also helps me to gauge how badly I wanted the bag. If I lose an auction and shrug and say "meh", maybe I didn't want it bad enough. But if I feel heart broken and need a big piece of chocolate cake to feel better then I know I need to pounce on the next one I see!

As for the bf, he probably does take up a lot of space, most of them do. Once I got rid of mine I had a whole entire empty closet just for my bags!! Ha ha ha ha! :yahoo:

I’m still here. . Just busy with life. Nothing bad though. . I need to save a shortcut for this site since I’m so used to just tapping on the app. Haven’t been on much since they got rid of it.

Hi ML and all . I am guessing everyone is busy BBQ-ing or out of town this long weekend. Glad you had a productive day today and fun dinner last night. I just woke up around 9 pm from a nap (perhaps a food-coma nap, lol). Been on a Korean fried chicken kick this month — had some for lunch today (maybe that’s what knocked me out). Been looking at “pretties” online but am just looking since I don’t have time to “entertain” a new bag at this point (plus still feel guilty about my recent purchases). Last night, we finished the last episode of my new favorite tv series (with my new celeb crush ) — 6 seasons with 13 episodes each, still digesting how the series ended, I would have to say it is one of the best tv show I have ever watched, DH agrees, I feel a bit “lost” now that this show is over, guess we have to move on to the next show that my celeb crush was in and binge watch some more). And finally, I recently ordered a graduation lei for DD.
Which show?

Korean fried chicken? How is it different from the nonKorean version? A sauce they use?

Like a few others, I haven’t been interested in much during this SAS. Maybe I’ll end up with something if they add more and discount goes to 50%. I do have my eye on a charm or 2 (like always lol).

But finally after almost buying this bag probably 10x and hovered my finger on the purchase button yesterday I bought the denim Cassidy! Yesterday it was $106 which was the cheapest I had seen it and then today it was $95 free shipping! So glad I waited. I almost bought it multiple times when it was around $130 I love this style and I think it will work dressed up and down. I haven’t purchased a bag since March which is pretty good for me lol

I know. It IS different. I probably won't be here very much in the next two weeks. Movers come on June 3, and I'm still purging books, files, clothing, and shoes. Also packing some things I know I will want immediately as well as some treasures. Will try to check in once in a while.
Here's a photo of the granite slab for our new kitchen. You can see the cut out for the sink and extended bar. View attachment 4442493

What a fantastic piece!

Well, I am happy and sad to say my FOS items came in wonderful condition! lol. I guess that means I am keeping them. I am trying to remind myself that they are items I really like that I normally would not have been able to purchase (without all of the discounts--because the special features of the handbags raise their base price a lot).

All look like nice pieces! love the special patch done on the Disney tote.

Got my black Grace finally, i went a month ish without it and basically skipped a bag altogether. It's nice to have it back of coarse, i really do prefer it, i mean i checked a few options out there but nothing felt "right" or worth my time/$$.

So what all are you carrying ? I think i am gonna put my butterflies on her, they are black/navy and silver HW so should match well?
