Sharing was quite the learning experience in our house. The worst phase for us was the biting each other when toddlers because it was fierce and usually on the face and arms. I walked into their room when they first had toddler beds to find one holding his brother's face down and biting his forehead!

Oh my gosh that is both unsettling and funny at the same time... Twins can be a handle no doubt.

Funny how we all got onto kiddo's. I actually never wanted kids, nor had held or cared for one before i had my daughter. I still wouldn't call myself "a kid person" but when they are mine or the ones they have created i am A-OK.

I'm a 2nd Gen only, so i do get the one and done, originally i wanted that but dh is the youngest of three and that wouldn't fly.

I am fortunate my kids are all close... actually we are close period, but i do understand at least from a distance the conflicts that can arise, i see it with dh and his siblings.. after his parents died it grew more tense.

TOtally respect the fact some don't want kids, i often joke "should of stuck with cats" because this mothering thing seems to go on forever sometimes.

I understand this completely! I don't know how I would have managed with two teenagers!
Although it’s kind of amazing that as people, you just do what you have to do! You all would have managed two teenagers beautifully. It’s the parents with three kids or more that I have total admiration for as the parents are outnumbered.

My own two are close together. 20 months apart. The first six weeks were very difficult (What have we done?!) but every six weeks after that got better and better. I am an “older mom” and wanted two so we didn’t want to wait too long between them.

I guess I'm lucky my kids didn't gang up on us! I remember once we went to a restaurant and all three kids spilled their milk. Not at the same time either. Right after one was cleaned up, the next one happened. I bet that restaurant didn't want us coming back!

There was another time when all the kids were sitting in the back seat of the car, the smallest strapped into her carseat in the middle. First the one on the right threw up, then the one on the left threw up on the baby, then the baby threw up. We had to suffer for 10 minutes before we could get them home and clean up!

When my oldest was in 6th grade, I went to pick her up from school one day and the teacher said, "Oh you're the one with all the kids!" I only had 3. I'm sure there were mothers with more! I knew someone with 10 kids. Their family car was a large van. I remember thinking how they could never go out to eat or to the movies together without making advance arrangements.

You see?! You moms with more than two kids are amazing! I would have been beside myself with the vomiting.

And those with twins are just as awesome! I can’t imagine having two infants...at once. :wtf: We’ve got twins that run in the family on both sides and I’ve taught lots of twins. My hat goes off to you !

That's close together! though i originally would of had kids very close but that pregnancy failed. I found having three a bit of a survival thing sometimes

Always had the standard joke of if they aren't dead or broken by days end i did my job.

Good grief! lol. My mum finds "all my kids" overwhelming but she was an only and so was I. For me, it was and still is a lot of chaos, even more so with grandbabies being thrown in the mix lol.

Multiples sound intense but i imagine it's also fun at times.

That teacher must have confused you with the Duggar Mom, lol. geez, 3 is not a lot compared to 19.

OMG! Projectile vomiting! The worst!

DH and I had a tough time taking his son and daughter on a trip. They punched each other and argued incessantly. One time, I told him I couldn't travel with both of them. A couple times, we pulled over to the side of the rode and threatened to drive home. They did this into their 30s! Unbelievable.

We had a minivan when they were little and an SUV when they were bigger. We used all 3 rows of seats, giving everyone plenty of room. I think they did well on trips. We only had problems when my oldest became a teenager and decided we were out to ruin her life. Once she moved out, the house was so calm and quiet!
