Oh I love Eva! We had a production of Christmas at Pemberley but I had no one to go see it with [emoji23] Everyone turned me down, I know my BF would have went with me but I wanted to go with someone who’d be excited to see it haha

If only we lived near each other — we could go purse shopping, see plays and movies, be each other’s buddy/bodyguard at IKEA (lol), etc. My social calendar would be so full :)

I think I need to think about my handbag goals for next year. Anyone else?
I think for me it will be maybe to consider just one or two bags IF they really catch my eye--fill a place in my handbag collection, but otherwise take it easy. I splurged on a lot of things this year--housewares, handbags, furniture, camera lens, and even just ordered a new car stereo (although they aren't really as expensive these days), so I think 2019 should be remembering I have already splurged and take it easy. We did a staycation this year, so I think that allowed cash flow for other things since when we travel it takes a large chunk of money.

I also learned that I am totally okay with spending more and getting the bag early if it means that I get a good one. My bad experience with my "deal" this week gives me a whole new appreciation for getting the bag while it is fairly new. I think saving 25-30% is good enough in exchange for getting a bag that is in stock, and not a junk bag. It also makes me feel better that I got my purple Rogue right away--I probably would have ended up with a dud if I tried to get from the outlet (I am not as lucky as others at getting the deal and getting a good bag).

Oh yeah and my major handbag goal is to never buy from my Coach store again. Online or department store only!

Vegas will be so fun! I’ve been once and I would love to go back and stay in Old Vegas in one of the old hotels of Fremont Street. Last time we stayed in an enormous penthouse just off The Strip as we were there with a few couples. It was incredible but I honestly enjoyed the grimy vibe in Old Vegas [emoji23] I felt like Elvis was going to drive around the corner in a big black Cadillac any minute and we’d go have prime rib at The Golden Nugget haha The Strip was fun but felt like Disney World but you can do anything and everything on The Strip. Shopping was great at Caesar’s. I also went to another mall but I can’t remember the name ... I was excited to go in the Diane Von Furstenberg store there. Years later and I still have regrets of turning my BF down when he offered to buy me DVF leather gloves [emoji22] They were beautiful!

You’ll see all bag brands carried in Vegas! I’d feel comfortable carrying LV for sure. Maybe a blingy clutch for evening! You’ll have to look good for Donny!
DH says next time we should stay downtown. Years ago we always stayed at the Plaza. His mom used to stay at the El Cortez. It was super cheap. Back then everything was so cheap. I loved it when people walked down the street with buckets full of coins. I miss old time slots. But I love shopping on the strip. We never stay in a fancy hotel on the strip. They are always crowded and it's a mile walk to your room. We usually stay at the Marriott Fairfield on Dean Martin. It's very close to the strip. They have shuttles to take you.

I’m trying to gather all of my thoughts [emoji23] I had a good year until this month, whoops lol

The Clarkson Hobo I’m returning has taught me a lot and will probably keep me away from most non 1941 bags so that’s probably a good thing! I keep saying it, but the removal of the clochette will curb my purchasing of the newer Rogues. Not a bad thing I guess! I think my plan will be include acquiring one or two more while the older ones are still available. During a sale of course! I’m not interested in most of the new styles, but again probably not a bad thing. I’ve had my eye on the chalk rogue (for forever!) and one of the rivets colors.

We went years ago, and we stayed at Signature at MGM--at the time the Signature had just been built, and it was absolutely clean and beautiful and quiet. It was also inexpensive, surprisingly. That said, it was a very long walk through the Signature, all of the way through the MGM, etc, to get to the strip. But it was a great place to stay. Now I think most of them are condos/owned by people, but I haven't researched Las Vegas hotels since then. I did have a lot of fun there. We loved seeing all of the major hotels and sites. And we had a great plane trip to the Grand Canyon, and then took a helicopter ride over it. So fun and beautiful.

My handbag goals are to get perfect purple and perfect fuchsia bags. I won't say no if I fall in love with something I didn't know I needed. I don't have any additional bags set out to sell other than what is already listed. Hopefully they will all sell this year. I need to pick more keychains to list. I can't believe that even with all that I have listed, I still have over 100 left. I'm happy with how I did shopping-wise in 2018. I didn't really go overboard like I did in previous years.

I think it would be so fun to stay Downtown. It still has an older vibe to it. Next time we go I’d like to do the Grand Canyon helicopter tour. I’ve watched some videos of flights and it looks amazing!

Congrats C. Beautiful pieces. I think this black looks so good, so rich looking with the hardware — I know you usually do colors but I think this is a great choice. I am glad you didn’t lose the fob — hopefully you can get a new chain or get another.
Thanks, Im! Yes, the black is gorgeous, thick, chewy leather and rich looking! I'm in love. I"ll go by the store and ask about another chain.
I just love those floral eyelets.
Thanks, me too! It's such a sweet detail.
Congrats! I think the fob on the Page becomes an issue because of the strap hardware and the strap being so substantial. It doesn’t hang as nicely as other bags so I can see why people keep having issues with it. I hope you like your bag. I still like mine though I do admit I have to get used to dealing with the small flaps every time. Lol
Thanks, yes I love it! I see what you mean about the chunky hardware. I had not thought about that. I will need a better way to secure it.
Oh congrats! The black page is beautiful wow [emoji7] Even though it’s just black lol the details make it look so special. The tea rose rivets on the strap really stand out against the black. My chain was too short as well and luckily mine fell off in the shipping box. I got a replacement chain from Coach and now it’s securely attached.
Thank you! Yes, it's all those pretty details that won me over. The contrast with the black is just perfect. Did you get a new chain from the store or did you call CS?
Beautiful! I really like that Page with the rivets, but all of you know that I love that black and gold combination.
Thank you! The black and brass combination is gorgeous too!

I was very unhappy with the customer service at this one particular store. I have to remember not to go in there.

First was the not telling me about final sale. I thought that was poorly done to be handed my receipt and "oh, these are final purchase by the way." I don't like that, and maybe I might not have bought them in those circumstances. I called Coach CS as soon as I got home and asked them to please have their SAs inform clients before they start ringing up purchases. I did buy my blue Charlie knowing she was a final sale and scrutinized every inch of her before buying.

Second, I wanted a price adjustment on my dark berry Charlie from 40% to 50% with an additional 20% off. My home store said they'd do it for me without bringing the bag in but I wasn't in their area, so while I was buying the wristlet, I asked for that price adjustment and they wouldn't do it! Because I didn't have the bag with me. So then I explained that another store was willing to do so and consistency across their stores would be a good idea. I decided not to bother in the end. I love my bag and was willing to pay full price, so 40% off is great. I usually thrilled with 30% off.

Finally, it was such a long wait for my things to be wrapped. I would have taken them in a bag just with tissue, but then it turned out they were sitting in a shopping bag, on the counter. I'm not sure what would have happened had I not mentioned it to the manager but he did apologize for all the problems.

Lesson learned: I'm going to just shop at my home store where I know everyone or the flagship store after this.

Ugh. That’s terrible. I’m glad the whole ordeal didn’t sour the bag for you :). Yes, that store totally lost a wonderful customer. That’s just crazy how inconsistent the customer service is.

I don't really know why? [emoji28] Maybe I was distracted by too many details on the bag. The snakeskin behind the turnlock didn't quite seem right to me. I did love the color, though.

The snakeskin on the turnlock also turns me off. I love a nice chunky brass piece of hardware and then they covered it up! I love the structured look and the handles that stand up and of course the color. My search for a blue satchel with brass continues!

Good morning and Happy Holidays! It's been a lovely Christmas holiday so far with family. I'm enjoying having my kids at home and being together. We've attended their holiday concerts (they both sing in different choirs) and seen a Christmas play but more on that later.

Let's look at the goods then we can move on.

After an amazing Christmas concert by my Littles before school got out, I was browsing the LV website late at night and to my amazement the Toiletry Pouch 26 was available online. This particular piece has been sold out for ages. So I decided to buy it and I'm thrilled. It is gorgeous, monogram and made in France. I picked it up in store and it was beautifully boxed and wrapped in their Christmas ribbon. I had to laugh as I was texting my teaching partner after I bought the TP26 because she was also late night shopping for boots!

The beautiful flowers are from DH as part of my Christmas present...we're going to Las Vegas in the spring and there were tickets to see Donny and Marie in my stocking! As a child on the 70s, I have always loved the Osmonds and especially Donny in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

I have visited three Coach stores over the past two weeks due to circumstances, not necessarily planned, but I've been buying each time.

I bought my Charlie in dark berry with glitter edging for work this winter to rotate with my Speedy 30 B DE. Here she is with my Minnie charm and dark berry phone wallet with crystal appliqué. The gold looks perfect with the dark berry. It's quite festive.

Then I purchased the rainbow rose glitter wristlet (not sure if that's the right name) and the Charlie 28 in blue metallic in two different stores. Charlie is wearing my old pave C purse charm. I like the new crystal tearose charm but I can wait.

My closet is pretty full right now so time to stop. I'm enjoying a lot of what's in store at Coach right now but I find these sales trying to a certain extent when one is trying to do price adjustments, there's a sudden markdown, that kind of thing. And it's "final sale" here in Canada for anything purchased during the SAS and other holiday promotions or open sales, something I forgot when I bought the wristlet. I've already called customer service to tell them their SAs should inform clients of a final sale BEFORE a transaction is completed, not when they're handing over the bill and it's too late, as a general courtesy.
So many wonderful goodies in addition to sweet family time! Congrats dear ML!
