So my ebay listing goal is failing miserably, I just can't find the time to take pics and hunt down boxes for 20+ bags. I think I might pick 5 bags and send them off to ebay valet. I know I won't make nearly as much but honestly would be happy if I got back $50 for each bag. If it goes decent I might sums out 5 more bags. I have a ton of slgs as well, but I don't think they will take them.
I've seen the ebay valet listings and they are terrible. They don't get good prices because they don't describe their bags well. They don't use the proper style names and often are missing important pictures. They keep relisting with lower prices until they sell. They'll maybe get $40 for a bag you would be able to get $200 if you had a good listing and were willing to wait for a good buyer. Your percentage would be dismal.

As was already mentioned, USPS has free boxes you can order and have delivered to your home. https://store.usps.com/store/result...-supplies/_/N-alnx4jZ7d0v8v?_requestid=715124
I use this one a lot: https://store.usps.com/store/product/shipping-supplies/priority-mail-box---7-P_O_BOX7
and the flat rate ones.

The Artsy is gorgeous but think it is heavy (just saw a DA one yesterday). Good tote list (I have to look up the Gucci and Chloe one when I get home). I kinda like the look of the Penelope but it doesn’t work for me. Good luck deciding

I agree about the artsy, it’s very heavy for a canvas bag. I haven’t played the Penelope yet I can’t tell the difference between the sizes, but I like that they would be lightweight. I’m so indecisive about it at the moment, I’ll probably just keep using my LePliage until it dies.

Me, too. I think I will return the Soho crossbody I purchased a couple of weeks ago. I can't get my agenda, small cardholder, phone and keys to all fit without pressing on the inside of the bag-then you see funny bulges and it doesn't look good against glove tanned leather. I can barely do up the zipper. Those are my absolute minimum during the school year. I can get away with small bags during vacations and holiday time (no agenda). I think I'm trying too hard to make the Soho work.

I should just stick with either a clutch or small-medium to medium-large handbags. Totes are purely functional for me (work, travel) so large bags are not great either for an everyday handbag.
I had the vintage version of the Soho and had the same problems. It is just too small, as are the dinkys for me. If you still want one, you can pick up the vintage version for less than $50. I bought a 1983 burgundy one in new condition for $50.

I like the Chanel flaps myself, quilted black with that beautiful chain strap but it's not in my financial cards, either.

I read a great book called Coco Chanel: The Legend and the Life by Justine Picardie which might interest you. It's packed with photographs and is an outstanding read. (Kind of fulfills the Chanel wants, at least temporarily).

I looked up all your choices and each one is more beautiful than the last! It will be a wonderful thought process to consider each one of these gorgeous pieces.

I thought the Alma would be a good addition as a hand held bag for me. I also like the discontinued Tivoli but that would have to be a preloved purchase. So I'm not too sure.

I love the Pallas as a work bag but I'm so enjoying my Speedies I don't need another work bag unless I sell something (not the Speedies!) The BB is too small as an everyday bag --see, I'm learning!
I read a book about Coco Chanel several years ago. I don't remember the name, but I remember reading how she tried to turn her Jewish partners into the Nazis so she wouldn't have to give back their share of the company.

I think I would probably get the Alma in monogram as I love it so much. I don't mind all the vachetta letter and enjoy taking care of it.

I had a bad water spill on Thursday with my monogram Speedy. Water splashed all over the handles but because I had done the patina champ method, and often leave my Speedy (and other monogram pieces) out to pick up some indirect natural light, the water spots faded super quick and it looks like nothing happened! So I feel confident in my ability to manage the vachetta.

I like the Pallas a lot but I want to get another classic bag first. The Petit Noe (or the newer style) is also in the back of my mind. Too many beautiful choices!

I really have to think about what I want my overall LV collection to look like, something I did not do with Coach but am trying to rectify with selling and giving away some bags.

What other brand besides LV would you consider?
What is the patina champ method? Just letting them sunbathe?

Oh thanks I should see if that book is available at the library or Amazon. I also like the flaps too but realize I would need a jumbo one (that’s why I bought the MK CC-inspired bag to see if a regular/medium size would work for me — No). To satisfy my Boy craving, I almost bought a new Boy wallet on Friday (which I thought was the exact same size as my ZCPs but turned out to be about 1/2 inch shorter than my ZCPs, thanks to a TPFer who provided a YouTube comparison link). I guess maybe (?) I am glad I didn’t get this wallet because ideally I would want a different hardware and chevron instead of quilted diamond stitching.
I tried the classic flaps at a Chanel store. They are very tight with lots of extra flaps and tiny compartments. Maybe a jumbo would be better. I don't know if a boy has that extra inside flap. I really love the look of my quilted Bendel flap. If it was just a few inches bigger, it would be ideal. I think the leather is as nice as Chanel. Too bad they don't make it anymore.

I remember you were the one who first told me about the double flaps (I don’t want double flaps —too annoying). After owning the MK Hannah, I know I would need at least a jumbo/large (which of course would cost more :(). The Boy doesn’t have any flaps inside but I need the Large size. They have some totes/hobo this year and also last year that I might be interested in (at least in theory, won’t know until I try on) but they cost a lot of money. There are some preloved CC shoulder bag styles I like a lot but it takes time to find one in excellent condition etc. apparently, trying to buy a new CC is difficult (you have to get on lists for various items, like you have to beg them to take your money, lol). I like your HB but it is too small for me. I like this HB shoulder bag I found (good size for me) but would want it in black.

I have the tote in pink. It's a very good size but I prefer the look of the flap. What I really love about the tote is that the inside is as pretty as the outside with blue lining.

I LOVE this blue but I think black is easier to match for me. Your pink tote is very pretty too but I need a bag that is not open top. That’s why I like the blue bag I posted because it has a zipped top. If I see it in black and in like new condition, I might go for it.

You'll love the leather. It is amazingly soft.

Thanks, whateve! I find the Dinky too small for me as well. I think I'll leave small bags for the moment. I sure do admire the cute ones Coach is making now.
