Ok so can I be a bit snarky? Remember when we questioned Cassie Thorpe getting the dark color birkin because it's totally not her style?
Well in her latest video she says she gave it to her mom. I guess she realized it wasn't her style after all.
What color did she get. Literally watching the latest video now and didn’t realize she had gotten a second.

I can't recall exactly I think it was maybe raisin. It was a very dark mature color/bag.
I used to enjoy watching her videos and felt she was more honest but that birkin video and the video where she had to have the velvet jacket that I then saw on another influencer made me feel like she's just buying popular stuff that everyone has....

Anyone feeling a slight tinge of happiness that more and more youtubers are getting on the ‘my Hermes journey is over’ bandwagon?

Money being tight maybe?
Or maybe chasing the ever changing algorithm...

I will be so happy once big H has cleared the Youtube space I'm in. I was doing just fine watching my girls and they came in crashing into spaces where they clearly did not belong. What a mimetic Hell that was.
Unfortunately, many fell for it, and I hav lost respect for them because of that. Others did resist and more power to them.

However, the powers that be seem intent on setting up the Row Margaux bag as the next "it bag craze"...

Hum...
Actually, Cassie is one of the few luxury YouTubers with a distinctive style and very particular aesthetic.
Then, YouTubers do influence one another; some of them are friends / know each other in real life, so it is normal that tastes and findings rub on.
I watched the video and I did not hear that she gave the bag to her mom; I heard that she left that bag with her mom who is probably just borrowing it... Just like she rummages through and borrows from her mom's Chanel stuff.

Omg I just clicked purse on fleek's new video and she got the most beautiful bag for Christmas
. Glad she is doing better mental health wise after the Hermes drama.
So is she un-banned from Hermes now or does she just buy resale or from private ppl selling?
I truly hope her mental health is better now

I noticed the same. A lot of YouTubers are unboxing exotics. On the other hand I suppose that’s the natural progression of the H “journey” if you stay in the game lo no enough.
Guess they feel the need to have something unique and special. I suppose they can feel unique and special with the thousands of others who own exotic bags.

I am curious where they carry these because I have never in my life seen one anywhere. Do they take them to the gym like jlo? Maybe they just like to take photos with them - pose in cliche French outfits in front of a cafe or their Eiffel Tower.

IMO apart from the true H collector and lover, I get the impression they’re just after these bags for trophy reasons. “Look I got the most expensive bag! The most coveted bag! (And truthfully I did it by selling a bunch of other bags and at some point in the future I’ll decide the exotic actually isn’t for me and then decide I need to go and rebuy those bags I shouldn’t have sold in the first place!)” It’s such a vicious cycle. Buy sell buy sell. At the end of the day whether you carry croc or non croc it still functions the same way. And at the end of the day the influencer is left literally just holding the bag. Hope they were smart enough to insure it!

I believe she buys bags from resellers and occasionally orders other pieces from the H website. The sad thing is I believe she really does love H and her knowledge of the brand is impressive!

I’d like to add I would really love it if influencers would stop normalizing buying 10k hermes or Chanel bags, Chanel Rtw, 40k Tiffany jewelry or Hermes exotics. It’s not normal people. Just look around. Nobody irl is running around dripped in expensive jewelry and croc bags. And for what reason? Do they need to seek validation? If so that’s really sad. These people have shopping addictions and they are insane.
