I thought you might like this shot of a bal next to a Chloe. The Chloe's are known for being "pebbly" and this one is less so than some even.

any pics Tooshies??

Here ya go:yes:

my 02 FB First is silky, butterly soft, and featherly light.

my 06 Grenat Work has gotten really *chewy*. It now has the soft, yummy, thick leather to her like it my Cafe, but more distressed. This is the pic when I first got her, and I'll take some pics of her now when I get a chance.

my 07 Cafe Work is the ultimate *chewy*bag! It was stiff when I first got her, but it quickly evolved to soft, thick, chewy leather:heart: I absolutely adore her!

my 03 Olive Brown WE has thicker leather than a lot of 03 City. It's still soft and silky, but just thick. The older leather has some great vintage qualities to the leather, and they're just so soft to touch:love:

I've gotta take some pics of my AnthraCity, which is EXACTLY like cracker's. It has the most amazing, soft, deeply creased leather.....I'd love to see how the sheen wears off:yes:

Fantastic thread!!! This is so much fun discussing the *terminology*

My 07 Cafe Work is chewy...soft, thick.....just etable:drool:

My older bags(02, 03, and 04 leather) are butterly soft and silky.

My 06 bags are heavily distressed. I call deep creases wrinkles, not veins. To me, veiny bags are those from SS06(especially Lilac and Emerald, like someone else pointed out).

It is tooshies!!! Very chewy!!

^^^Thanks Ally!
Well, I did it! I got another work! I love my sandstone sooo much (I've been wearing it nonstop) I just ordered a black one!!! Yay!!! I can't wait!!!
BTW, I spoke to some guy (Terry's off today) and he said distressed=veiny. Is that true???

ally: Thanx darling:heart: I was first skeptical about the leather, but it just broke in so quickly....after 1-2 weeks!!! Now, my Grenat is becoming *chewy*:tender: Yum.

ShoeLover: I think *distressed* means differently to some people.....my AnthraCity is (I believe) heavily distressed(deep creases running through the entire bag)like cracker's, and it has no veins to it.
What do you think, everyone??

Maybe he's a newbie? Even if not, I think it's accurate to state most people never used the word veiny to describe a bag until 2006 and they then applied it to the white lines in some of the bags. People have always referred to the distressed leather of B bags. But whatever. The most important thing is to make sure that the person you're dealing with at the moment is on the same page as you, or that you understand their definition.

viens are those white lines all over the leather like marbles .. ditressing, wrinkles, creases, crinkles, are words to discribe teh leather that looks like it is un-ironed .. like when a linen shirt is all creased up and needs ironing?

How do you call this look of my Sandstone's leather that obviously have "large" veins? TIA!

Uh, that would be pretty darn beautiful. From the photo, I don't see white lines that I'd call veins, though Balenciaga guy might. It looks very nicely distressed and wrinkley to me.

umm... get it better now... no white line means not vein? And if it looks like it's not ironing means wrinkles, crinkles, and distressed? So this one of mine probably has large wrinkles/distressed?? May b I have to learn a lot more to call it correctly! :sweatdrop:
