Can anyone tell me about this bag? How much it retailed for back then and about what year it came out?

Thank you!
It believe that it is the Soho Tweed Satchel that was released in Fall 2005 and retailed for $398, see the attached image found on the Wayback Machine.

I have the Soho Tweed Demi Flap 8F01 $238 and the matching Soho Jeweled Tweed Pouch Fob 1747, see this link for more information: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads...carrying-today.913052/page-1730#post-34891870

Hi,

I brought this 10+ years ago and it’s just been sitting in my closet, I believe it’s from the 80s but I have no clue on the style name.

Are there any ringed tabs on the sides near the top to attach a strap?

And please always include measurements. I need to know the measurements front to back, it's not apparent from the photos. When taking photos for sale, authentication or identification, it's a BIG help to stuff the bag with something that fits comfortably inside so it resembles how Coach preps their bags for photo shoots, like a towel, t-shirt, etc.

It might be a 5160 Shoulder Portfolio but I need to see more details. Thanks!

From a 1986 catalog:

Thanks, the measurements are 13 x 9 x 2.5 and it doesn't have rings on top. I'll add additional photos here. Also the inside has a zippered section in the center. Thanks for your help!

Thank you so much for this helpful info! I just placed an order for this bag at a great price from a seller. Love the vintage Coach pieces they are unique!

Thanks! Not having measurements threw me off in the beginning, I was looking for a full-size 16-inch briefcase.

However, the only bag from that time period, late 70s to early to mid 1980s that's 13inches wide is the School Bag, or I should say ONE of the School Bags, at least one may have been called a School Bag Clutch. Coach made at least 4 variations of the same style with different style numbers and slightly different configurations, with and without strap attachments (the strap was sometimes clipped to rings on the BACK of the bag and sometimes just clipped to the rings that also held the top handle.)

You could go NUTS trying to figure out all the variations and of course they were all pre-serial number and maybe even pre-creed. The most recent version from the mid-1980s was style 9695 below from a 1986 catalog:

Here are similar styles, the style numbers might be 9390, 9515, 9695, or 9630, they're almost impossible to figure out, so let's just call it an early version of the 9695 School Bag, style number unknown.

ETA -Measurements are critically important when there are no style numbers in the bag.

Damn, I just lost afew of the photos. Let's try again:

Hi all! Have compared this to other similar bags and I'm pretty sure it is authentic, but I do not have a lot of experience with Coach bags, and would like to be certain. Thanks so much in advance for your help!! Measures approximately 9" x 7-1/2". E4C-9901.

Thank you so much! The last photos looks the closest to what I have, it also says it was made in New York City, but I couldn't get a good picture of the inside because of the color of the bag.

Pretty color! If you brush light-colored eyeshadow over the creed patch and serial number then it may make them easier to photograph and read.

The bag itself seems genuine judging by the creed and serial number stamps, but the metal hangtag is fake, and I think the bag may have been re-dyed. There's more than one shade of green there. The strap looks really tired compared to the bag.
