I cancel my Japan trip~

I agree with the others - it is an absolutely gorgeous bag (I do so love pinks too!) and I don't really see the stain in the pictures, but I would take it in to H and have them look at it and give you an opinion. Good luck - keep us posted!

I dare not use baby wipe... I brought in to H just a moment again. The leather specialist say it's not reversible since it is like a grease stain. If I really sent in to spa, they may have to darken the whole bag and the lovely fuschia may be lost. OMG... she also mention it may go away when the natural oil of the ostrich comes out with more frequent usage. :wtf: Anyway, I decide not to venture into croc... I am very clumsy...

There a grease mark on my pink ostrich. The H people say its may not remove the mark even if I send her for cleaning. But they can try but maybe the leather will darken a bit with overall spa. She is brand new and look ugly with that mark. The H people ask me to use her more dilligently and maybe her sheen will cover the mark over time. Can someone share their experience on after spa ostrich? Please help~:faint:

I have no experience with ostrich, but from reading other people's experiences with H spa, they can do a lot to reduce the appearance of spots and stains...more than I could have imagined. I would send it in and see what they can do.

Well I also have a pink ostrich and you know when the mark is very very obvious then the spa is a good option I sent mine because of the handle darkening that with ostrich is automatic and I had a good experience it looks better and the shade did not change much at all and the handles looked much better and I now wear it with twillys but I have to say I baby my bags and big or small I will send them in .because ostrich has pores and the skin is very much a changing living material grease or a greasy mark may continue to spread , so to the point ,send it in ! Hope it helps darling and I'm so sorry to hear about it as I totally understand you !.

Hermes craftsmen are wise in their expertise to reduce the obviousness of grease mark from far and sometimes upclose if it's not serious. Don't worry. You may want to ask tpf'er Docride who's an expert in leather refurbishment.

i would rub cornstarch into the spot --let it cake and brush it off and do it again. if there is no caking it wont work. (you want to try to absorb any grease possible before doing anything--even sending to Spa. dont worry cornstarch is harmless and will not hurt the bag)
