I was just about to say that, because the store closest to me just had one and the next closest to me is having one this weekend, so they are clearly rotating the offer around the shops.

They did say they're having a F&F event sometime very soon... likely late march -early april which offers a 25% off. Maybe ill just wait until then to get my bag. I cant use it towards customizations but maybe ill just settle for the cafe bag.

25% is a good sale off of what is usually full price leather. Have you seen the Cafe in woven? i love that but it's to much bag for me...

Update:

I went in to the closest roots store last night prepared to buy my bag only to find out that it's sold out. :( My beloved cafe bag is completely sold out across canada. I didn't realize it was a limited edition style... they still have it in woven and also they just got it in white for the spring/summer as well... i wanted plain black. I can make a special order for 15% charge. I decided to part my ways with that dream of a bag for now.

I had gone in wanting to come out with a handbag and i was determined to get something. My next choice was the small grace bag... upon comparing the any colours i decided upon the classic tribe colour. Since i usually go for black, i wasn;t completely sold on the idea of having a light brown bag but the sales person convinced me it can be worn all occasions(work, weekend etc). After looking at all the colours, i kept coming back to the tribe... and decided to bite the bullet and take a plunge. I'm so happy i did. The more i look at it and wear it the more i really like it. I love the style of the bag.

Perhaps in the future i will special order my cafe bag. :)

Also i saw that a coworker had a flat bag in grey tribe leather which i didn't see in store and it was soooo nice. I love the colour... if the grace came in that i would have gotten that in a heartbeat. Maybe ill special order that too. haha. I did see the purple tribe as well at the store which was very nice as well.

I just wanted to update and let you know guys know my final decision. Maybe i will do a reveal and post pics in a day or two. :)

I'm sorry that is to bad, I am sure they will come round again as you said they are back in white.

A SA told me it takes 15 people to make a handbag, so the detailing likely means many styles that are larger get shelved for a bit.

My Luisa is in tribe, it is incredibly durable and continues to only soften with age...

Off topic somewhat lovin' the new collections!!

PS; definitely show the Grace! this brand needs more focus.

I really like the side saddle bag in the pictures, but in real life it just looks odd to me. I think it's the size.. too big or something i don't know.

I saw a lady wearing the little luisa today... it looked really cute on her. In the store i wasn't a fan of the stitching down the centre but after seeing the lady wearing hers so well maybe ill reconsider it. haha

I'm actually really eyeing the mini valerie in wineberry(purple tribe). Maybe i'll get it when i get back from vacation. :rolleyes:

I kind of like the monique bag... and you know what i kind of like them all!!! lol. Bags are so addicting.

LOL some styles wear better than others, i don't mind the stitching on Luisa i liked her because she had dual straps and fit my large zip around wallet.

The only complaint? she is heavy! the hardware is solid and so is the leather she'll wear like iron but for now she is packed up, i need lighter for the summer. I have some arm/shoulder problems.

That sweetie bag calls my name too but i don't need another purse that size lol

I have one these at the moment trying to figure out if i should keep it, super light and great storage ability, the Nita tote done in Jute and Tribe leather accents.

I have a roots black leather bag that I've had for about 5 years. It is still like new and I've used it a lot. The leather is thick, supple and the bag beautifully made. The hardware is really great quality. I love roots. They make amazing quality leather products at a great price point!!

I also have two of their flat leather over the shoulder bags that I've used for travel. Both are about 10 years old and still is amazing condition. I do clean and app,y leather conditioner to them regularly.

LOVE ROOTS!!

I just got an email for 30% off for a pre-sale starting tomorrow for their customer appreciation event. I've been eying the Grace Horween in blue as a weekend purse. I've got it in cognac as a work purse and love it!

That is odd. I've only been on their mailing list for 2 months. I did buy a purse 2 months ago from them.

I ended up buying the cobalt blue Horween Grace bag. Apparently it's a limited edition. I love it! It's such a light weight leather and so soft.
