ohhhh i like that, it's sooo cute! Do you own any bags with the tribe leather at all? I'm noticing that it's picking up some colour transfer. :( I will do a full review later ok?

yes, i do.. the little Luisa! hmm transfer? holy smokes wouldn't have even thought of it... then again i used it in winter with my black parka. I have since switched to my MK crossbody jet set.

I wasn't aware of needing treatment for the tribe leather, they actually told me no when i bought it, i would speak with CS and see what they have to say.

The only transfer issue i have ever had was/is my little cutie tote(in a kelly green) my Coach blue wallet over time left blue within the lining. :nogood:

To my surprise my pouch showed up this morning! Yea! I love it, I cant believe I only just recently found out about this company. I will definitely buy from again.

love it! great liner color too. I own quite a few pouches, including a heart shaped clip on coin (or whatever you desire lol) holder, that i snagged from this years v-day collection!.

You only just found out about Roots!? oh, gosh you've been missing out!:p

I've been browsing Roots bags online for a few years and finally decided to order a Grace bag in Tribe leather. It's awesome but I noticed a couple of things and wanted to make sure they were normal. I don't live near a Roots store so I can't check out any bags in-person, so I'm posting here in hope that someone who also owns a Grace bag can help! (I apologize in advance if there is another thread I should be posting in; I searched but there isn't a specific Roots section on the forum.)

1) I always inspect my bags inside and out and noticed that there was a tag on the inside zipper pocket (it's similar to those tags you see on pillows and chair cushions). The tag said "Content: Polyurethane Foam." I am just wondering what part of the purse is polyurethane and if I should be concerned, since I thought it was 100% leather.

2) In pictures I've seen of the bag online, it appears that the logo on the bottom of the bag is an additional piece of leather sewn onto the bag itself. The logo on my bag is just embossed directly onto the bag itself, no added leather. I don't know if this is something new because I think the bag has been out for a while now and maybe the newer versions don't have the sewn-on logo anymore?

I'm trying to post pictures of what I'm talking about but all of my uploads fail. Sorry for the lengthy post and THANK YOU for any help any of you can give.

I don't own a grace bag however my Luisa bag has that tag for poly content, it's in the one handle... they have to list any stuffing put into the bag. I actually have a Michael Kors purse with the same sort of tag..

As for the logo, it's possible it's now embossed vs being badged. Honestly, if you have any worries email their CS, but i do know how they label varies somewhat between bags and even eras.

I hope that helps ease your mind! If you bought it directly from Roots their should be no issues, however again a quick call or email to CS with any questions if you have further concerns, they always answer promptly.

Congrats on your first Roots bag! i own oodles of them and have so for well over a decade. :D

Thank you so much, HesitantShopper! Your reply was so helpful and definitely helps put my mind at ease :D

You're right about their CS: I emailed them to ask about a dust bag and they got back to me the same day saying they'd send one out to me! Even more reason for me to shop Roots again!

I'm trying I decide which bag to buy. I can't decide between the small grace bag, large grace bag or small school bag. Do you think the small school bag can be used as an everyday purse? Also does anyone have modeling pictures of the small and large grace bag using the long strap? This would be very helpful! Thanks!

I think it falls down to what you carry, i am a lightweight compared to most so don't require larger bags.

Hopefully someone with a grace bag can post pics but google may have some too if you try searching for the style GL!:D

I have the Olivia hobo in the tribe leather and my daughter has the small school bag. They are both beautiful well made bags. They smell wonderful and we have had them for over a year.

The roots website had an image of the cross body strap. I have two small grace purses and love the size. I can fit my iPad, kindle, pencil case, wallet, sunglasses case, makeup bag, keys and cellphone. The Horween leather is so much lighter. I use both the cross body and the handles depending how I feel. I like the option.

My only problem for work is that I can't fit in a file folder easily. I can usually squish one in.
