i see you found your way over here from myspace ;)

Hey there!
I know - I was actually referred over here by a customer! She came back twice to me, and yeah commented about The TPF...and yeah my name was mentioned here and there, and I'm like "REALLY, I'M CURIOUS...WHAT IS THIS FORUM..." haha so yeah here I am! :)

RTV means return to vendor. :smile1: For example, stores might return unsold or damaged merchandise to the vendor. Or in the case of LV it might be customer returns or slightly damaged bags; or I think it also might include (but am not entirely sure) display bags.

sorry to ask this: what is RTV?

RTV is retail speak for = Return To Vendor.

for LV it's really anything that can't be sold as "brand new" to the customer, cuz really would you buy a "brand new" bag that already has a patina? probably not. or a scratch in the vachetta, or epi/nomade/etc leather? i don't think so. So they send it back to the vendor, or in this case, some sort of warehouse, and is sold back to the employees at a major discount.

i only wish we could do that at restoration hardware with furniture and such.. i mean, we still get 40% off the discounted price, but still.. it's not very good when it's such a big ticket item. haha.

what i know from my SA @LV boutique.. they cannot put their names for limited edition bags.. also.. if they're a new bag with high demand.. example, when Manhatten PM was first released, LV employees couldnt buy it untill the waiting list was over and the supply was increased.
