I want to say that their hiring is based on who you know. If you shop there, or frequent at the store, your chances are not that likely.

My friend got the job because LV went to one of the colleges and were recruiting.

A lot of the SA's who help me never really bought LV stuff or didn't at all.. Until they got the job.

Do you think it is possible for me to get a job at my local LV?
When I apply im going to 16
300+ hours of volunteer service at the Oregon Museum of Science and industry
International internship regarding industrial design
International internship regarding management in a assembly line
International internship regarding sales
Letters of reccamendations from the CEO's of the internship companies
And a job as VP of design and engineering in a contract manufacturing company

I'm aiming for being a cashier or anything that allows me to be in the store, do you think that's possible due to my age?

i am a retail store manager and know that a lot of retail companies limit the type of jobs a minor can do and when they can work. for my company, a minor is not allowed to close or open a store. it probably depends on your availability and whether or not they can schedule you according to their needs. it never hurts to apply and i wish you good luck!

I'm sorry that the SA at the Beverly Center boutique was rude to you. One of the SA's in that very same boutique was rude to me also, just bad customer service, which is why I will never set foot in that particular boutique again. I'll take my LV business to boutiques where I've been treated well.
I hope you find the job you're looking for, I know its frustrating, but keep your head up! Good luck!

I work for Louis Vuitton but not in sales. I make Speedy bags at the moment and its great to be surrounded by them all day. I never much liked LV bags before but I love them now.

Wait wait wait.....you MAKE the Speedys?!!? Oh wow we totally need to hear more from you! How exciting to know that you actually make the bags! haha Sorry to be a weirdo-but what is it like? Are you in the States? How are the conditions and how are you treated? I know that is SUPER strange and I hope that I am not being offensive or crazy, but I've never heard of any person on here actually working for the company besides being an SA. To be honest, one of the reasons why I buy LV despite the high price is I believe that the workers making the products are treated well and I want to support good working conditions. For me, I have actually moved away from other designers who have begun manufacturing in China or other places where I fear deplorable working conditions and I just hope that you are treated really well for making something so beautiful :D

Again, if this is too personal or just plain psychotic, I understand, but I really would like to know how things are on the "inside."

Sorry - not been on line for a while.

To answer a couple of your questions; I am not in the States. I am in France and yes they are a superb company to work for. The pay in France generally is not high but LV pay very well compared to other employers in the area and they are very good to their staff.

The workshop is light and airy and beautifully designed, creating a lovely working environment.

I am really proud to work for such a great company and to make such a lovely product.

I worked high end retail for 5 years and we didn't hire under 18. I'm assuming other stores are the same way...

Hello my name is Jessica I'm 18 and was considering applying to be an SA at the South coast Plaza store or an LA store as I am moving to Pasadena to attend Collage. I'm going to Art school for photography but to put it simply I dream in monogram!:smile1:

I know I'm young and I HAVE NO HIGH END RETAIL EXPERIENCE
now I called and talked to an Sa who was extremely nice and asked him how strict they were regarding that, and all he said was "depends". I didn't think of working for them until I went to check out a Damier Azur Speedy 25. I walked in and it took 50 MINUETS TO GET HELP. And if that wasn't bad enough when I finally received help the SA was very rude, she rolled her eyes when I asked to try on a bag, and 20 MINUETS LATER she returned and simply TOSSED UNFOLDED THE BAG ON THE COUNTER. Two weeks later I went to take in my keepall 45 because the zipper needed good waxing and the same girl told another SA NOT TO HELP ME because she "BELIEVES IT IS A REPICA". Naturally offended; I asked for a manager and she apologized and took me to the repair guy in the corner and everything was fine. But I have been around Louis all my life, and it is a passion of mine. I recently connived my grandmother to buy one and love seeing people happy with them! I have five items as of now that I've worked really hard for. I know a lot of the bags and am not shy! I love talking to people about the things I love, Louis bags!

As for my resume this is all I have:

- I've done 200 hrs of community service
- I owned a store selling my art for 2 years but closed it for school
- I currently own a used and vintage online store thats doing really well
- Ive been and editor for my yearbook for 2 years and head editor in chief for 1
- GPA 3.3
- I have been awarded by my school(Irvine high School) for being one of the top 3 people of the top 10%.
- My avalibility would be from 2pm- closing weekdays/ weekend mornings

Do you think I have a chance?
