And you don't think that your sister being a VIP at this particular store had anything to do with this job offer...?

Maybe so.... And you probably are right.

But every time i go back there like i said the SA's still say i should work there based on what i know. Soo i know this is gunna sound awful BUT if my sister got me a job at LV id still take it. Then id prove to everyone that yes my sister helped me get the job BUT i deserved it and a hard worker.

And on a are occasion... Its not what you know... its WHO you know...

From what I've heard they don't pay well and all the associates spend their paychecks at LV. Hence the reason why the company does so well. You made $500 bucks this week, but I need or want this.. there goes your paycheck.

I know if you have retail experience and speak a language that you can help clients definitely a plus.

I think it's fine as long as you know how to save your money and keep on a budget. That means discipline and a lot of willpower. For example, I knew a girl who worked at a high end retailer as an admin assistant that got amazing discounts on luxury designer items, but at age 28 she was still living at home with her parents and couldn't afford to even rent a place. Please don't fall into that same trap. :smile1:

LOL you're so evil! Love it!

I wonder how often that happens? It must be a really awkward situation.

Hey girlfriend...
well, i'm in the boutique very often. I work across the street from it. :graucho:

This happens almost daily. People come in to "authenticate" their product and most of the time, the SAs decline to say anything. But when they push for answers, that's what the SAs say. They also say that when people come in for repairs on their fake LVs.

Ahhh you lucky girl! :p

I really hope the people with fakes aren't knowingly walking into the store with them. How awful if that's the case, it must be quite a sight to witness! I'd be the person trying to be nosey without obviously being nosey which in turn would cause me to be accident prone and probably draw attention to myself.

i'm hired. :)
but you girls here sure can name or say more bags' names than me
i spent hours on LV websites to memorize, legendary monogram, damier graphite, a day before the final interview.
i've been thru 3 stages of elimination before reaching to that point

Congrats! I've always wanted to work for them. Do they pay commission or hourly or both?

First off, welcome to tPF

Secondly, how did you get so far?!?!?! (I think being a regular customer isn't a good impression where you literally have to give your wallet to your SA to restrain yourself for buying something, anyways)

Thirdly: So. Jealous. Of. You. Good. Luck. On. Your. Interview. *gives you that fake Sheldon smile*

Congratulations and good luck.

When I am in West Palm Beach my SA is working part time LV because she is a real estate agent. I think she does that for fun and to buy more bags :)
