this link is for opening for sales for LV at NM at Topanga - I think that store is opening this month. I know LV had a hiring event a couple of months ago at city of industry for a ton of jobs. if you enter 'louis vuitton' in search on oodle.com it will show all the job postings LV offered. GOOD LUCK and let us know how it goes.
are they making one in city of industry????

thank you so much,
I did know of the opening in topanga..
but unfortunately I live in Los Angeles, roughly around 15 minutes away from the Beverly center.
Shoot. I wouldnt even mind working for the one in South Coast Plaza, and thats almost an hour away.

but does anyone really know if what /is what i have to do, simply turn in a resume.
I feel as though the SA would simply get my resume..and throw it in the trash in fear of me taking over her job... i know pessimistic thinking doesn't get me anywhere

I live right next to southcoast... 15 SA quitted last month...more quitting... maybe you have chance but you have to have working experience in high end stores for sure...
If you dont have high end working exp or dont speak different language.. your chances are low getting the job..

I normally ask a manager. SA's are known to be rude with applicants for fear that they will take their hours or whatever other reason they may have.

Maybe call the store and see if you can speak with a manager or at least see if one is there so you can go in. I would also bring a resume just in case and dress a little more business casual.

i don't know if you only want a sales position or anything with LV

this posting is for production sup. - because you know that LV has a manufacturing plant in San Dimas.

Darn imagine how awesome that would be, supervising people make the goods. Unfortunately, I'm barely in my second year in college. And If i were to receive my bachelors.. Why would I want to be a manager or supervisor, I know Louis Vuitton has high standards, but having a degree simply to manage, a section in my opinion is ridiculous.

thank you so much for this update..
I'm def. going to call tomorrow first thing and see if they're hiring.
I currently only speak English/Spanish fluently.
and can survive my way with my French.
And like, I stated before I really only do have one year working in sales , and that would be Victoria Secret ..and I dont think they consider that "high-End"

Wait city of industry??? huh??? but why??:wtf:

By Any chance, does anyone know if LVMH is an equal opportunity employer??

The best thing to do is:
Go to the store dressed professional with your resume. Ask to talk to a MANAGER! As soon as you meet the manager shake their hands and introduce yourself. Say you're interested in getting a job, and ask if they're hiring. Make sure you tell her your availability.
As for me, I only worked a retail job 4 months @ Club Monaco before my LV job. I'm attending a business fashion school, and I speak fluent french and english.
Hope this helps
Thank You :);)

I agree with mrfrenchfry. In My opinion you need to prepare a professional resume that highlights your best abilities and make you an outstanding job candidate.(customize to LV expectations). Try to find some one that had worked or work currently at LV or other high boutiques and asked them for insights at what they look during the hiring process. And the most importantly prepare mentally to market yourself. Just as it is difficult to market a product you do not truly believe in, it is difficult to market yourself if you do not believe in yourself.

 Good Luck! And go for what you love the most!

Totally a suggestion... do what you will with it...
When you go in, always wear something professional. Shorts and a polo shirt will not get you any where... regardless of the designer. Wear slacks and a tie... jacket is optional but I would recommend it. I'm sure you looked cute, but "cute" won't get you a job... you must be "professional." Do your research... what do the employees wear? Do they have a uniform? Color scheme? Etc...

Make sure your resume is PERFECT! Check Microsoft Works for some templates. Gear your past/current experience towards the job you want now... just because you don't have the experience doesn't mean you can't get the job.

A very important tip...
"Your resume gets you the interview, the interview gets you the job!"
