I know someone going for a job there, she only told me yesterday! How excited was I??

Thinking about getting a seasonal job and would love to work at LV but not sure if it is difficult to get a job there as a SA. Is it hourly pay or do you get commission?

When my friend worked there he told me they don't make commission.

For the new LV store opening up 10 minutes from me in Fall '08, there's a position for a general manager. But not just ANY general manager - full-on BA is needed, several languages, obviously plenty of managerial experience already......they take it seriously.

Don't know, but the discount is worth it!!! One of my g/f's use to work at Holt's (not in the LV section) and her discount was 25% off anything under 1 G, max 2 items/yr.

I wish I could work there too...it wouldn't be work since I'll probably be drooling over everything I see!! hehe...but a bad idea since I'll probably spend more than I can make!

The SA in the LV dept at saks told me no commission....They work for LV, not saks. If a saks SA brings you over to the LV dept to assist you, and you purchase something, they get some sort of credit, even though the LV SA actually sold the item to you....go figure.

What I understand is they do not work for commission but get a "bonus" when certain targets of an amount of money are met.

I'm just curious to know if some of you Louis Vuitton lovers had ever worked? Considered working? or have a close one to work for LV? I would love to hear any experiences? Do you get discounts? How is to work at LV?

i think part time employees get a 30% discount, and i have a friend who is the manager of inventory in atlantic city, nj and he said full time management staff gets 85% off

O wow, 85% off, that is A LOT. But I think I saw some posts said LV staff can only buy display item and they cannot buy any new item or new release item, is that correct?
