Scarves How to Wear a 90cm Carre/Silk Twill Casually?

Can I actually wash an H scarf without ruining it? tempted to try this but I’m scared to wash one, is it safe?

Yes and yes I'm a huge fan of washing my 90s so that they lose that stiff texture. Silk scarves are hardy, and Hermes are really well made in terms of being color fast. I've washed all my 90s and not ruined a single one I wrote about my method here:

I've pondered the same issue. One knot I use with T shirts is to start with a thin and tight version of the basic bias fold, and then tie a single very flat knot in the dead center -- with a little coaxing, the knot makes a downward-pointing triangle, with the ends coming up off the upper corners. those ends can then be tied behind one's neck.View attachment 2775434

I do think a necklace-type knot complements a casual outfit. It’s informal but neat and adds a bit of oomph.
