Ladies in the facebook facial fat graft group have shared with me how German, UK and US surgeons are having bad results with facial fat grafts and now some don't even recommend it anymore.

I put together a collage of Dr Hyo Seok Seo's facial fat graft. I had it done twice with him in 2018 and 2020. I didn't need the top up in 2020 but wanted the round youthful forehead which he gave me back in 2020 so I had the top up and I now still have a rounded youthful forehead in 2024.

I know what you are thinking...I looked better with black hair! lol. I have been debating this but can't recall the box colour dye I used back in 2018!

@MissOrange what do you think about dr. Dongmanpark? I heard you mention him before and I saw his before and after one year apart and some of them look amazing. For example like this lady
Hi @rosie8800, you are falling for photoshopped recent afters. Also the lady in the photi seems to have a keloid raised skin at the incision which makes it very obvious she had a facelift. Never look at afters 6 months or before as swelling adds volume and lifts the face like fat graft. The danger of looking at photos 1y plus is that some ladies go back on botox and dermal fillers too. It is so hard to find true unadulterated results.

Look through his IG for 2 videos of actual patient afters, especially the lady who returned to Korea at 1 year with facial sagging and deep nasolabials. I immediately ruled him out when I saw this because it implies he does not prescribe steroids. He is now also overcharging foreigners as he is asking $30,000! He used to be half that when I started looking at him as he does extended smasectomy. When a surgeon overcharges he may also be very unlikely to offer free revisions. I have a feeling the patient flew back to Korea in hopes of getting a free revision.

Yeah I see her scar but honestly the results look too good for 1Y mark. I really hope it’s not photoshop because he said he never photoshops. Also, I think one of the old ladies that came back is because her fat graft didn’t work so she ended up getting a facelift instead. And yeah most people do need small fillers/fat grafts here and there even after facelift because they don’t have volume to begin with, so a maintenance is needed unless you have a very slow metabolism that keeps all the fat graft (which would be nice).

30k is a lot, but I’ll probably consult with him and see what he thinks I need. I probably won’t go with him because he only does deep plane extended smas, which I’m not fond of right now. He does seem to be good with liposuction though, barely I see bulging fat from the after photos.

@MissOrange I was also told that I am too skinny to get fat grafting, so it seems like I am doomed because I need a lot of volume on my mid-face area and I do not want implants. Gaining weight is also hard for me so I guess HA fillers are best option for me, still unsure

A tpfer requested a video from me with no makeup and showing the scars at 2 years so I complied. I then thought why not make a public video as I keep banging on about judging a result from a patient video at 1Y+.

Not sure how long I will keep my IG account public. I keep changing the settings, paranoid there are bad people out there looking at my family! lol.

Hi @rosie8800 I see you have not read my past posts on Bio and Dr Park. Here is a reminder of his results when looking at videos and NOT after photos.

Also I have attached photos of his patient’s scar vs my scar.A494141D-D5DE-44FA-8E3A-1EC158102A79.jpeg9557D15F-BDF6-462B-8CAE-1EDBFC6A64B0.jpegA59E7F07-2435-43D6-A0CF-D5C9208DA388.png45DB49CC-8C31-4AA9-8E37-CF8D5B9D0B5B.jpeg

See how vastly different Dr Park’s patients actually look like in video vs the after photo he posts. There is so much laxity in the penultimate photo I have posted that I would be extremely disappointed had I paid $25,000 and the chances of getting free revision in Korea may be very slim to non existent as a revision is regarded as FAILURE by the Korean surgeon. A lady who had her $10k facelift at VLIF has been denied a revision and only offered mini lipo of her returning jowls!

Here is my IG video with full makeup at 20 months post my £3495 facelift with Nick Rhodes. Whether you are paying £3500 (facelift alone), £7,000 (face and neck lift) in Turkey, $10,000 in Korea, £16,000 in York, $30,000 in Korea, $50,000 in California, £70,000 in Kent, $120,000 in NYC or $150,000 in Chicago, a facelift is just a facelift, trim the skin, lift the smas, fix the smas, and close in layers! But without intraop and/or postop prescribed steroids, they may all sag within 4-6 months and then it becomes a HUGE headache to fight for a free revision which in most cases may be denied the more you paid for it initially.

As you can see from the vast range in prices for a face and neck lift, surgeons may increase the prices exorbitantly, because there will always be women out there who think the more they pay, the better the surgeon and the result when in actuality the longevity of a facelift may simply be dependent on a £9 box of postop rx prednisolone to stop postop skin stretch from swelling.

Ok so you’re saying it won’t work with them. I saw your posts about UK surgeon but I’m sure he won’t perform on me due to age and he is expensive.
You also mentioned Dr. Lee from ASPS and that one other person on this forum had a good experience. I see some of his before and after and they all look very photoshopped. I really don’t know who to go to for consultation. Every doctor is a mixed bag. For some patients, it works, for others, it doesn’t I guess

It’s up to you @Lien. As I said I would NEVER get a forehead lift. It is a skin only lift and more likely to fail. The person is a private person I met at a private event so no I cannot reveal her identity. In the hands of the right eyelid plastic surgeon, the muscle is cut, trimmed and reattached together so ptosis of the eyelid is corrected permanently, rather than have a couple of sutures in the eyelid muscle. Dr Seo has the most experience in Asian eyes and especially in rejuvenating mature eyes.
It is not a skin only lift! I literally just had a forehead lift last week, and they go under the muscle to release it and then lift it up.

Thank you, @MissOrange.

@MissOrange, so the problem with Dr Shin's mother FL is that Dr Shin didn't pull her face taut enought? It has nothing to do with the forehead lift, right?

The UK patient who's had the failed forehead lift, would you be able to share her name/Insta handle please? VLif wants to do a forehead lift on me too, not because of my forehead wrinkles (of which I have very few) but more because of my eye ptosis. The latter is hereditary and despite having had sultures put into my pre-existing double eyelids twice, my eyes are now starting to droop quite badly again, obscuring my vision partially. My father had this condition and towards his 90's, he almost couldn't see. His eyes were two tiny little slits. I don't want that to happen to me too!!
I recently had a forehead lift with Dr. Shim at VLIF 2 weeks ago and I’m very happy with my results. I wanted it for the same reason to open my eyes a bit, and also give me a more youthful appearance. I’ve wanted this done for many years and my only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner!
