How to go from 50+ to looking 20+ with plastic surgery rejuvenation.

I wonder if eyelash extensions will thin your eyelashes out.

Not the eyelashes that you can buy and put on at home, but the semi-permanent ones where the lash techinician uses glue.

I only mention this because there is a post above talking about hair extensions thinning your hair out.
Good point @Otto8! I never tried salon false eyelashes. Thank goodness I only tried duralash ardell lashes at home. Imagine losing all one’s eyelashes due to overuse of eyelash extensions!

I had dinner guests who had never met me before last night and when I pointed to a wedding photo and said that is my 28 year old daughter, one of the guests said, ”How can that be? But you look 28!” Boy was I happy.

I did not dye my hair black brown last Tuesday as the supermarket was out of stock. I think I shall stick with this brown colour for now.

Here is what my hair looked like 4 years ago at age 52, thick, healthy and long, before it was bleached blonde and the second one is last month after 4 years of salon bleaching. See how thin the hair got and much shorter as it could not grow. Maybe if you want to be blonde, try a human hair wig? I just hope that my long thick hair comes back now. My hair tolerated L'oreal Excellence for 10 years as a brunette so I shall stick to this to continue to hide the grey hair strands.

Hi @MissOrange, I’ve been following your thread for the past year or so and am planning my Seoul surgery journey for April / May for revision SMAS lift and revision rhinoplasty. So excited!

I’m 43 and have also experienced hair thinning due to bleaching but also as I discovered due to natural aging. I have been using Minoxidil 2% topical for the past couple of years and it has restored my hair fullness to what I had as a teen! Not sure it’ll work for everyone but I recommend trying it.

Because it’s a forever commitment (if it works) I documented before starting with photos and four months after. I confirmed it really truly was helping - quite noticeably. I’ve stuck with it and my hair is no longer thinning at all. If you haven’t tried it I’d definitely say it’s worth a shot.

Thanks for sharing all your knowledge and research. It’s made my own journey much for informed and less lonely

Thank you so much for sharing this advice @calihapagal! I am so pleased you found something that worked. I will now look into it too!

@MissOrange, I'd like to ask you something about the explant and fat transfer procedure you had. Do you have any hard lumps in your breasts and are you experiencing any pain?

I've had 3 small lumps (about the size of marbles), 2 in my left and 1 in my right. For the last 2-3 months, I've been experiencing pain in my left breast right where one of the lumps is. Funny thing is I only experience pain when I lie down at night, and the pain is not just in the left breast but on my back too on the left side right behind my breast. I've tried to wear a bras to bed and it seems to be helping. I am wondering if it's adhesions and/or fat necrosis; and lying down without any supporting bras results in the muscles being pulled backwards, hence the pain. I've also been doing yoga and been trying to stretch the muscles there which seems to also be helping.

I had my procedure done in March 2020. It's strange that the muscles are still pulling and appear to not have healed yet.

Hi @Lien, I am sorry to hear you are having pain post fat transfer. I would advise you get an ultrasound, be seen in breast clinic or see your surgeon for a review. No, I have had no pain or lumps post explant and subsequent fat transfer. I get regular mammograms and recently had an ultrasound when I had breast pain from HRT. I stopped the HRT and the pain disappeared so I will not be using HRT ever again.

Thank you, @MissOrange, I've had both an ultrasound and a mammogram. Going to see the Dr this Friday. We'll see. Fingers crosed. Glad you've had no complications. Yah, HRT doesn't sound like a good idea.

Yes I too wondered why bqq went to banobagi for a facelift after zygoma reduction at Regen and not get the facelift at Regen also.

I sent my non hydrated photos to Dr Hong at Fresh and the reply was I needed a lifting procedure and if I felt my cheeks were too full he could remove some fg. I am thinking why did I drink 1.6 litres of water on the morning of my consult for FL with Amir but then it appears he does a mini lift and the definitive lift is smas. So I am also confused and going in circles especially after reading that the default setting for the S9 phone for selfies is basic beauty mode!!! So I had to retake my selfies after cancelling beauty mode and my face still looks slimmer in selfies than in a mirror?! I hope I don't have bdd as this would really be confusing. Thank goodness I have a concrete 15 cm width measurement that cannot lie so ideally I should be getting posterior zygoma reduction followed by a smas facelift. Sigh. That is too much effort and cost for an old lady. Maybe my face is wider as I now weigh 101 lbs, the most I have been this year. Aargh.

I haven't heard of that doctor at Regen but if he is their fg expert and did bqq he should be fine. There is a recent post with photos of Regen fg in another thread about sagging. Looks good but then she got threadlift too? Is this a case of upselling or did she need it with fg?
Did you have any experience with Fresh for fat graft?

For those who will be in London on April 27, I have agreed to be a live model to show the results of my rhinoplasty, facial fat graft and facelift. There will be 3 UK plastic surgeons there who specialise in facelifts, rhinoplasty and fat graft, Anthony Macquillan (facelifts), Lucian Ion (my rhino surgeon who also does facelifts) and Tunc Tiryaki (fat grafting) giving a talk and for £16 more you can get a mini consult, ie the £65 ticket includes the consult vs the £49 without. You have to let the organiser know which surgeon you want the mini consult with. A full consult with Lucian Ion is now £325 so for £16 it is a massive bargain for a mini consult to say yes or no whether he can help you with your nose or face.

I haven’t seen Lucian in 7 years! I had the permanent prolene sutures removed as my nose was reacting and forming an abscess and hole and he kindly exchanged for long acting absorbable. It makes me smile when he had me sign a consent form not guaranteeing my nose would last more than 4 months with absorbable sutures. Thank goodness my scar tissue has held everything in place for 7 years+ touch wood! What I love about him is he is humble and very patient-centred. He actively listens. If you have a difficult nose that needs specialist revision, I would absolutely recommend you fly in to see Lucian.

I wish I had not dyed my hair dark until after the event. Sigh. I think I look more attractive with blonde hair than dark hair. Oh well. Finally ladies get to see my results in person instead of rely on the android lens. Although I already know I had good results by meeting @dannythedragon in person in London earlier.

I have come a loooooonnnnngggg way in my 7 year facial rejuvenation journey. Here is a b&a. This month’s selfie is on the right at age 56 and the before was at age 49, my menoface severely lacking in oestrogen and fat. Try to work out what I had done? The super long and hollow face on the left needed repeated full face fat graft to reinflate my upper eyelids, forehead, temples, cheeks, lower face and a lower smas plication facelift was needed to pull up and trim away 7 cms of loose skin so that I could see my jawline. Be careful you do not get side jaw shaving when actually you need a facelift. Pull up your skin to see if you can see the outline of your jawbone. I pencil my brows now as it costs £500 for eyebrow tattooing that lasts 2 years. The bullhorn lip lift re-established the ideal 1:2 ratio of philtrum to chin. Before it was 1:1. A big shout out to Dr Hyo Seok Seo for my eyes and full face fat graft, Dr Choi of MVP for my vermilion lip lift that removed filler and scar tissue from my upper duck lip, Dr Caroline Mills for my bullhorn lip lift, and Dr Nick Rhodes for my small invisible scar smas plication facelift with absorbable sutures still holding up at 14 months. Dr Mills could be a multimillionaire just doing private lip lifts under local but she has returned to the NHS as a paediatric maxillofacial surgeon. She truly was the best in the world for bullhorn lip lifts. She took away just the right amount and was not too conservative like other UK plastic surgeons. She had an amazing aesthetic eye and surgical ability as she also trimmed muscle as well as skin and soft tissues. I think as she was a maxillofacial surgeon she had a better understanding of the area than a plastic surgeon.

I prefer the pic collage of me compared to my 25 year old self. I was pretty when I was young! Menoface and aging are cruel. It strips looks from ladies. Thank goodness I worked out how to regain my youthful face. Hopefully by following my journey it will take you less than 7 years to achieve. Remember never pay more than £10k for any one procedure as facial rejuvenation requires multiple different procedures and you will need money to fund this or be stuck with an odd looking face that is halfway there but not completed. Remember you will not need botox or fillers if you have had a good facelift and good full face fat graft.
