Please let us know how you get on with removing the pen mark - good luck.
Mine has a small pen mark on the outside, but i'm not even gonna try and get it out. I'd rather suffer...;)

Congrats on the new bag too!!! Wooo hooo!!:yahoo:

Okay, good news. Just to let you all know. I left my whisky paddy with Nordstorm and I just got off the phone with my SA and she said the bag is back from the shop and it is perfect. No sign of that big black pen mark. The place they send their bags to is called Extra Care Handbags and the owners name is Jeannie and their phone # is (206) 241-5770. So if any of you run into this disaterous problem, give her a call.

Loren, I'm so happy they were able to take care of you. I know you're ecstatic about it.

I have to tell you, I got a pizza grease stain on the front, in the middle of my whiskey Paddy (the very first day I wore it). I was just so sick about it. I didn't even mention it on the forum. Anyway, I felt like I had to try just about anything to get it out or the bag wouldn't be any good to me.

The first day it happened, I used the baby wipes. It actually took out the little grease stains out around the large stain. It didn't do too much for the large stain. So, then, I figured I would order the Apple Garde cleaner and conditioner. I was certain my bag was ruined. Now, keep in mind, it took a week for me to get the stuff. When it came, I put the cleaner on and after it dried I put the conditioner on. The next morning, I could see that it had helped some but I would probably have to do it again. So, the next day, I had to look hard for the stain because it really had faded. So, I did it one more time and you can't even tell where it was.

Sorry for the long post. I know how stressful it is when you think you ruined such an expensive bag. It's so nice when we have a good resolution and can continue wearing them.

I'm so happy it worked out for you.

That is great news about your whiskey. I am keeping Extra Care Handbags phone number in case disaster strikes! Piperlu, glad to hear about your pizza stain removal, you were brave to try and treat it on your own.

well I have grease on both my choco chloe and my white gaucho so I'm going to try and use the appleguard cleaner and conditioner two days in a row and see if it works. thanks so much. I'm hard on bags.

NW Purselover - I wasn't brave, I was desperate. I didn't know what to do and I had looked through old threads on this forum and couldn't find anything other than the Apple Garde. It was my first day wearing this bag and I was so happy that this stuff worked.:yahoo:

I think I jinxed myself when i said I've been doing well with the craie in terms of getting it dirty so far. I JUST SPOTTED A PEN MARK ON THE BACK!!!! It's small, but IM SOOOOO UPSET!!!! Does anyone know how to get that out??? I think my brother did that by mistake. God I could kill him right now!! :cursing: :crybaby: :hysteric:

PLEASE HELP!!!

OMGOMG!! I am so sorry!!:sad::sad: I wish I had some advice for you... Hang in there! There are so many knowlegable girls here and I'm sure they will have some idea how to fix it.

I heard on the Prada forum that someone used baby wipes to get a pen mark out... let me see if I can find the link maybe it will help?

Edit: There is a post about ink but it's on a suede bag... they say to use hairspray but that wouldn't work for you. I'll keep looking...

audrey you are the best. thank you so much! i think im going to have to send her off to a leather cleaner. :crybaby:

i want to enjoy wearing her for a bit first though. i think i might go with lovinmybags.com so that when they do the cleaning, they'll use the repellants as well. part of their package listed on the website. man, im just so pissed that ive had her for 2 days & it wasnt even me who got pen mark on her!!!!

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear this happened Ikaesmallz :ninja:

But thank god it's on the backside and not in the front. I'm sure loving my bags will be able to help you
Good luck with it, hopefully it soon will be like new again:flowers:

omg. pen marks are the worse on leather!
When I was at work, my doggie was on the couch and somehow got a hold of a pen. You started to chew on it on the couch.

oh boy when I got home, there were ink all over the place! I tried all the remedies you can think of: Hairspray, baby wipes, leather cleaner, and etc. but ALL FAILED! I made the leather even worse! The color of my couch rubbed off and the pen mark was still there! I had to have my couch hauled to a sofa leather repair shop and it was away for 2 weeks. My advice is to NOT do anything to it, let a professional handle it.

after my couch was re-dyed, re-touched, whatever they call it, its just not the same. You can see that there was repair done. Not that noticable, but it is to me!

good luck!!!!
