so my boyfriend put a some fast food too close to my purse and today i´ve found a little grease stain on my beige Paddington!
how can i clean it??? anybody has any tips? i´m desperate!

Yuk...I'm a serious germ a phobe. I do the hover whilst holding your Paddy thing. Not easy, but I have it mastered! Mostly I have hubby baby sit while I'm gone, and at the table I hold them with the strap over my knee if there's no available empty chair.

I live in Las Vegas for the time being, and you can imagine the germ situations here - the casinos, clubs, etc... Ewwww! I'm super careful about where I put my bags. Never on the bathroom floors. I can't even imagine why someone would do that.

My favorite trick is to hang her from chair backs. It makes it easier when there is no spare seat. I'm not even a big fan of putting bags on tables. Who knows, maybe someone who sat her bag on a bathroom floor also put hers on the same table... And to cut down on the people who like to pick things out of bags as they pass, I'll hang my coat on the chair back over the bag. It works most of the time. Hopefully, I'll get to purchasing one of those pretty little purse table hooks.

If it's a cotton twill lined bag (rather than a leather/suede lined one), as all the larger bags are; I've heard that you can successfully handwash the lining in cool water with Woolite, or the equivalent (avoiding the leather, of course).

If it's a darker coloured lining, I'd use Woolite For All Colours (to avoid fading). :smile1:

I bought a tan paddy off ebay and the lady put a tin of tan shoe polish inside, i didn't realise she had actually used it and took my paddy out today only to see that the side of my top was covered in tan polish! how do i clean this off! i really need your help ladies

Oh gawd! :wtf:

I'm afraid I have no idea how to remove shoe polish, apart from using some sort of leather cleaner, or trying to dilute it with an uncoloured cream/conditioner; but I'd be worried that I'd uncover damage to the finish underneath the polish (hence why she used the polish in the first place)... :s

As she didn't mention it in the item description and Paddy leather isn't supposed to be polished with anything other than a 'light and natural wax' (to quote the carecard); I'd view it as damage and ask for a refund, if I were you.

Hey Mods!
Why aren't all threads related to clening grouped in a reference thread in the Reference Library?
Members who have successfully cleaned their Chloes :smartass:could post sound advice for desperate souls :confused1:who need an urgent reply when no-one is online...

I did wash the black canvas lining of my choco Betty (for sanitary reasons - i'm a hygene freak) with water and Woollite and it was fine... however, it is pretty tricky since the leather bits in the lining do get wet very easily...

In your case, I think lipstick contains a substantial amount of oil, so you may get an tiny oily spot in the end...

Good luck...

Hiya, i had once a mascara stain on the inside of my paddy. As I am very sensible with my bags I just went to the dry cleaner and asked advice. They said they can remove it. So they did. I didn;t pay a lot and the stain was gone.:yahoo:
