Scarves How old were you when you had your first H scarf ?

I started collecting Hermès very young. When I was either 16 or 17, I bought my first silk scarf (I think it's technically a handkerchief, but I wear it as a scarf). I've been shopping with the same SA ever since my first visit, and I think we've both remarked how my style and taste in silks/RTW has completely changed over the years.

I bought my first shawl at the age of 36 and my first 90 scarf for my 37th birthday during a trip to Paris.

I was 21... I purchased a 90cm silk in the Magic Kelly design.

If I recall correctly, it was one of my first "luxury" purchases after starting my career. I still have it, but it has so much sentimental value, that I barely wear it now! But I have amassed plenty of others in the interim

I was either 20 or 21? I remember it was during a spa holiday with my mum whilst at university but no clue as to the year… I got a classic BdG which I still have!

I was 23 when I purchased my first scarf, when I got my first grown up job. My mom was into H scarves and my older brother into the ties, they were my influencers into H.

And as a side note, I waited until my 40's to purchase my first H bag. LOL. Wanted to reach some other goals in life before getting into H bags.

My best friend brought me to the H store for my 25th birthday and told me to pick a scarf. I chose Turban des Reines in beige and light blue. I still have it today (24 years later)!

And, years later, I surprised her with a blue (her favorite color) Les Faceties de Pegase.

My H collection has grown so much since then, despite a break of a few years when I had babies (babies and H silk are not a good combo in my book).

i received my first Hermès scarf when I was 18
The I stopped wearing scarves when I reached 40 because it made me look older
Now I am 60 and happy to wear them again from a few years ...but only with a casual look and relaxed style and the knot is never sophisticated

I bought my first one on an airplane in 1998, as a present to myself for finishing my degree. Now I buy one for any big life event.

I think I bought my first 90 silk, first year college, in 1985. my favorites from college were napoleon with jaquard bees; an orange scarf entirely covered with gray and white golf balls; voitures au transform ? In blue; and astrologie. i stopped for years, then picked up with mouselline and CSGM.

I thought I had posted a college pic of my then boyfriend, now DH, and me. He’s wearing his first Hermes tie and I’m wearing the Hermes orange golf ball scarf. I’m also at least 40 pounds lighter lol. He had a lot of hair back then
Also, a close up of the tie. I’m afraid that the scarf is long gone. . .back then Hermes didn’t have knotting cards but would give out mini orange hardcover books of photos of women wearing their scarves
