I'm so bad at cleaning out my bag, but I do eventually get to it. I often go for several weeks without changing my purse. Of course, I take out my lunch containers and utensils daily to get cleaned as well as recycle the bottle of the drink of the day everyday. However, when it comes to really cleaning out the bag, like taking out the receipts (I hate these!!!), spare napkins, wrappers, etc., that's like once a month!

^^Lol~Thats too funny!I don't change bags..I'm so picky, so therefore I opt for bags that I will love later on as well as now:)I have been using my new bag since I got it on 1/29/11, and have no intentions of switching,lol...It does make things that much easier to not have to stress about which bag to carry.I love my current bag, it offers everything I need day to day!:p

My handbag never accumulates anything that needs to be 'cleaned out'. Receipts are in my wallet and those get taken out when I get home.

Can't imagine carrying my lunch in my handbag ... hmmm.:nuts:

I voted for weekly but really I clean out my bag about 2-3 times weekly normally when I change bags. I'm guilty of having gum wrappers at the bottom of my bags.

I say Weekly only because I change bags once a week... I also have tons a wristlets where all my junk stuff goes so that if I need to mess with those items I can just go to the wristlet and deal with it...

In addition I do not add to my bag if I need to carry anything additionally like paperwork I take my small Madison Vintage Briefcase..

Whenever I change bags. On the most part, the stuff that needs to go bye bye are grocery store receipts and the like. I try not to have a collection of say, candy wrappers floating around in my bag.

I'm really picky too. I do have a lot of bags (25) from browsing the entire web and then some, but I like to take my time with just a few bags at a time in rotation before I switch.

Lol, I put my lunch containers and other stuff in ziplock bags and haven't had any problem at all with this. A while ago, I did, however, neglected to put a ziplock bag on my steel drink container (company merchandise) which I thought was built tight enough to seal off the milk completely. Needless to say, it isn't, and the milk seeped out and ruined one of my leather bags permanently! I waited too long to clean out the milk stain because I was busy at work and at home. I later tried vinegar, lemon juice, soap and water, leather cleaners and there's very minimal change. Good thing I only paid like $110 for the bag (a B. Makowsky on steep discount), but still. I still wear that bag to places where appearance isn't an issue though.:p

Here I am....queen of anal. I usually clean my bag out every day. I hate throwing receipts, gum wrappers, bits of schmooie, in my bag and then carting it around with me. Then again, I switch bags out just about every day, too.

In one sense, every day. At the end of each day, I take out any receipts, gum wrappers, anything that was added that day.

But, I only change my purse probably every two months. Then I go through items that I keep in cases, or my wallet, and rethink what's going in the "new" bag. And then I usually change the cases and wallet, too.

I'd say weekly but I always clean out my bag if I've been shopping in town. Receipts and bits of junk seem to get in there, as well as mysterious crumbs and various things I don't even recognize!

Thank's Ladie's for sharing..I'm happy I'm not alone in being *anal* and keeping my bag clean,lol..I look at it this way, my house and car are clean and organized and why shouldn't my bag be clean;)I'm much happier when everything is in its place.:D

I think when some say "change bags" they mean use other bags in their collection. Just because we "change bags" doesn't mean we won't love them later on. While I love all my bags, I can't use one for too long at a time (1 week) because I have other beautiful bags to rotate with.
