I am just lilke the majority here. I clean my bag out every single time I change out my bag, which is at least 3 or 4 times a week. I can't stand papers and receipts or whatnot just flopping around at the bottom of my bag. I have a close friend who is the total and complete opposite and I find it totally amazing that she can dig right down into the bottom of her bag and pull out exactly what she was looking for amidst at least a pound of old receipts, broken pens, paper clips, gum wrappers.....whatever. She never cleans her bags out at all. That would drive me up the wall.

I clear my bag out every day (receipts, gum wrappers, anything I brought home from work) but other than that I carry pretty much the same stuff all the time.

Most of my bags are hobos so everything just goes in one place - I want to get some wristlets or pochettes to be better organized though.

But I have carried my little one in my LV neverfull before. Here she is all curled up sleeping inside of it.

I never accumulate enough clutter in my bags to need to clean them out per se. Receipts, change, etc tend to go straight into my wallet, while random flyers that I may pick up are usually neatly tucked near the back of my bag and easy enough to remove at the end of the day (if I accumulate any flyers, which is pretty rare too). I'd say I therefore "clean out" my bag whenever I change bags (which is about once every two to three weeks, maybe a month at most), as I always make sure I empty everything out of one bag before switching into another to ensure that I don't leave anything behind. I may go over the interior of the bag with a mini lint roller if I find that it's accumulating specks or bits of lint or whatever, but that usually isn't too often.

A few times a week, or whenever I change bags. The only thing I really need to "clean" out are gum wrappers, maybe a receipt or two and maybe some loose change.

I change my bags pretty often depending on my outfit but if I'm using the same one for a while I'll usually clean it out when it gets too heavy with spare coins (I HATE coins!) and receipts/paper from different places lol

I'm like many others on this Forum in that I change handbags often, so I check each handbag before storing it away. OTOH, I rarely have to do a cleaning per se, because I don't place receipts, tissue, whatever directly into my handbag.

However, I have had to take a vacuum cleaner to my handbag . . . after my little nephew upended a baggy of Cheerios into one of my vintage Guccis! Talk about bad handbag days . . .

I tend to carry my purse for a month or more, until I get bored with it and want something different, or to match an outfit. That's when I typically clean it out. I'll also clean it if I'm in a waiting room or something and am bored, so I toss all the receipts and junk, or if it's getting heavy I'll just take out the stuff I know I won't need before going out. I'm a bit of a pack rat with my purse though, sometimes I only take out what I need and keep the rest of the junk in there until I go to use the purse again LOL. I can be really bad at cleaning them out!

I clean it out whenever I'm waiting. Maybe its in line somewhere or at a drs office. I use my purse to carry my toddlers diapers belongings too so I have to stay on top of it.

i can be like digby.... i don't switch purses often enough, but at the same time, i don't carry too much in my bag. i do accumulate strange things though, like an earphone adapter and penis straw.

Penis straw:lolots: , that reminded me of my bachelorette party:p!

I clean my bag out every time I switch which is about once a week. I'm constantly checking it for errant receipts and such. I can't stand any kind of clutter in my bag.

Just thought this would be interesting to see how others respond... I clean my bag out a few times a week.I hate to have unuseful junk in my bag.I try to be organized, it makes my life that much easier:) So how often do you go through your bag? I added 4 choices to chose from.Thanks to those who share!:D
