How often do you change bags?

On a daily basis, I'm pretty rough on my bags, so I'll buy a workhorse bag once or twice a year. Not expensive, so I can toss it here and there and not worry about it. Also, I really like reaching for things (keys, cell, etc.) without thinking about it, because I know by heart where the appropriate pockets are. I can throw a sandwich or extra hard drive in it and it holds up just fine. My daily routine is just work (it sits in my desk all day), with a stop at the supermarket, or gas station. Weekends or nites out, I will choose an appropriate bag, for the outfit and use. Out to dinner, something like my HH Lorca in a wild color I can't use everyday; and there's always the crossbody hands-free flea market bag, and the lawn concert top-zip god-knows-what-will-get-on-it shoulder bag.
I usually carry a bag for a couple months unless it's bad weather and then I'll use my cheapie nylon bag. I also try not to use my tall tote that has handles that stick up straight during the school year because I have to stick my purse in a closet with small cubbies. I have to bend the handles and it drives me nuts!

well, i guess from the thread title, tpfers are not "regular" women, but from what i've seen, some of my friends never change until the bag falls apart, and others change frequently depending on where they're going even though they're not bag whores.
i change my bag depending on the weather forecast (it rains a lot where i live, so i won't use leather those days) and depending on how much stuff i have to carry (i try to bring the smallest possible bag i can--even though that's usually really big b/c i have no car and have to go to work for so long).
i keep a clutch/wallet in my bag so that i can just take that out and use it alone in a jiff if i just have to step out briefly.

I typically use a bag for a few weeks before I change it out. I don't really care about it matching my outfit unless I am going somewhere really nice/dressy. Otherwise, I just change when I feel like it, or when I get sick of looking at the same bag every day lol. My wallets however, I prolly only change 2-3x's a year. I have a hard time finding wallets I like, and when I do and buy it, I typically change it and keep it until my next purchase.

I'll switch around quite a bit, everyday at times and even more than once a day. I always have to have it semi-match my outfit or at least coordinate. If I'm working, I have an entire other set of purses I use, I will never take a designer purse to work and I carry much less when I go to work b/c I am not with my purse at all times. I also get bored and keep wanting to use something different.
I've worn as many as 3 bags in one day on the weekend, depending what I'm doing. I'll change my bags during the work-week depending on what I'm wearing. If it's raining or snowing, I have specific bags I can wear in weather. On the weekends is when I wear my Tokidokis, so those don't really match or not match anything, so those I pick based on size, how it's carried and if the pattern matches what I'm doing (if you don't know Tokidoki that won't make any sense)

oh wow i just asked this question a few months ago. i change mine when my mood calls for it, which is usually a few weeks. unless i'm wearing something that really clashes then i'll change bags for that day and switch back.

I don't change mine very often. I change AS soon as I get a new one and then use it for a month or 2 and then when I get a little bored with it I look around and "shop" in my closet and find an old friend that hasn't seen daylight in awhile. I live in FL where "seasons" aren't very noticeable so I am lucky that I don't necessarily HAVE to change them out for the weather.
Before i joined TPF and my purse "interest" ran out of control I would use one or two bags each season( spring- summer, winter-fall), only changing bags when it did not match anything I was wearing. Now I change sometimes weekly, sometimes daily. Usually the daily comes when we go to a baseball or other event and I use a clutch. I use a bigger bag on a daily basis. It really depends on the bag and my outfit which have to go together somehow, someway!
I am switching my bags, accessories and bling (scarves, Fobs ect..) almost everyday... Main reason, we have a new closet system that gave me easy access to them..
How often to you switch out your bags and when you do does the accessories and bling get changed too???
