Unless the bag really doesnt match, my "daytime" bag doesnt change much. Just whatever Im loving at the moment but dinner, night out, etc....always has to match my outfit so it could be a few times a week.

I think "regular" women change it twice - once for spring/summer (going for lighter colors) and once for winter (going for darker). At least, that is what some of my colleagues and friends do.
Some never change it untill their daily bag literally fells to pieces. I have a colleague who's been using the same beige bag for at least two years. I see it dropped casually on her office floor, getting dirtier by the day - poor bag
Personally, I changed it every few weeks and I tend to use darker shades in winter, but most of my bags can be used all year round.

I try to change everyday.. but I usually stick to an "everyday" type of bag which are usually brown, black, or white. I could carry the same bag for a few weeks.
Depends on my mood and the weather. I like a soft, lightweight, relatively tossaround bag for the summer. This year I bought a stripey Lucky Brand bag to bring abroad. But at the last minute I remembered I already had left a Gucci monogram bag at our summer house in France. Also, I still have a great MBMJ green canvas and leather bag that I took along instead of the Lucky Brand. Great thing about the LB is that because it was so inexpensive I can just use it as a casual bag when I get back to Ireland. Apart from fussing around over what to carry in the summer I tend to carry the same bag for maybe a week or two, then switch to something else. And because it rains a lot in Ireland, there's always my black Prada nylon.

I always changed my purse every Sunday evening. It was part of the my Sunday night routine to get ready for work on Monday and that made it easy to do. A few women started noticing that I did that and were amazed by it. They couldn't believe first that anyone would have the time and energy to think about changing a bag every week and secondly that you'd even want to change.
It turned out that most of them only had a few bags and used them for months at a time--maybe even six months.

IMO most women I know change handbags weekly but me on the other hand I would say either daily or every two days.
I think most women I know change their bags every few weeks, maybe once a month. That was what I used to do, and most other women I've noted do the same as well, including my family members. Darker bags in the winter, lighter in the summer, etc. Additionally, I think most will change temporarily to a matching bag for Sunday/church or special occasion like nice dinner or wedding, party, etc.

Sometimes I change on a daily basis, other times it's every few weeks or so. If you ask my mom.... it used to be every 20 years lol now she's up to maybe twice per year since she has a "spring" bag now lol
One of the best dressed women in my office (admittedly not a very fasion forward environment) who has a beautiful home, plenty of $, carried the same Kenneth Cole NY black bag for about three years. She finally replaced it with a black Kate Spade.
I used to carry one neutral colored bag for a couple of years. Now I switch maybe twice a week....whenever I get tired of carrying a bag or it clashes with something I'm wearing.
