How long should I let this go on?

Goldenmom, you are in my prayers. I'm sorry you have to experience such a bad transaction during this traumatic time. I don't see why if she has received your full payment not to refund you completely. To say the item was sent, when it's not, that's seriously dodgy as well. Hope everything gets resolved and you'll be able to move on.

Penny - That was shocking! I'll defn be more cautious when dealing with online traders. I'm sorry that happened to you.

Golden's Mom, I am glad there is some progress being made. Maybe I am just old and crabby, but I feel like this seller is really putting you through the ringer - and of course the situation is compounded given your personal circumstances right now. I'm kind of surprised that the seller used an e-check and that the entire amount wasn't reimbursed. My offer to help out with a "strongly worded letter" still stands, feel free to PM me! Thanks for keeping us posted, I hope this resolves to your satisfaction very soon!

Golden's Mom: I'm very sorry for your loss. You really seem to have a hard time at the moment. All the best and lots of strength!
I really hope that the ebay seller does the right thing and sends your money back. Keep us posted!

Does anyone remember a similar issue from about 2 years ago that one of our past frequent posters had with a well known seller...the poster was Koukanamya (spelling?) and the seller was Hermes** I believe that the bag to be sold to Kou was somewhere in Asia and not in the actual possession of the seller. In essence the seller was having one of her "associates" purchase the bag and Fedex to the US. The entire thing ended with much drama, closing of the thread and the eventual return of Kou's money.

^I remember hearing of it last year when the discussion arose about selling 'sight unseen'. How can a seller sell a bag that he/she does not have in hand as guaranteed authentic.
Hermes** sells such expensive bags. Way over retail.

Penny and golden mom-- This is absolutely horrible.

Golden mom - you have been way too nice and this seller is taking advantage of you.

I am a reporter and Penny is right-- most police departments will not do anything about ebay transactions, fraud especiall when it crosses state lines... and when they do get involved it usually takes hundreds of thousands of dollars. Unfortunately most police departments do not have a big economic crimes unit.

Penny if you want to pm-me- I can go through everything and see if there is any other options you can take. I've helped people get their money back before. However, have you thought about going to the news? My company owns the ABC station in Atlanta. If she is running a shop wherever she really lives and has fake items-- authorities have an obligation to raid her place and confiscate all her items.

Golden mom- if you need help please pm me as well.

Wishing you both the best.

Hey, I've been out of town. DD is starting university in the fall, and we were at orientation. So, here's how it stands now. I've received the money back...minus the amount agreed to for the cancellation fee. (Reference gracekelly's post) Exactly what happened here.
