How long should I let this go on?

WOW .... this is messier than I thought. Hope you get your money over the next couple of days.

PS: eBay experts - isn't it wrong for a seller to say that the bag is in the US when it's not? Isn't that misrepresentation of some kind?

golden mom, please keep emailing her. I've been buying alot online recently and I've noticed that alot of emails are getting dropped. I myself have missed two emails in two weeks so far (they were automatically transferred to the spam box, even from a recongnizable address) and I've had very responsive sellers claiming that they've never received some of my emails.

However, since this happened in may, i think she should have given you the refund already. I think that it is very considerate of you to let her keep the deposit, however I don't think she should be keeping more than a couple hundred dollars after deducting the fedex charges because you've never received the bag. It is not a case of you changing your mind AFTER you got the bag so it would be really bad customer service if she wants to keep the whole deposit. Also, ask her how much she is charging for shipping. Please please pm me her ebay id, I would like to stay away from unresponsive sellers even if she only sells authentic bags.

I do not believe the police will get involved in this. I had a very unfortunate situation in January 2007 with a purchase from an eBay seller. I made an agreement to purchase outside of eBay from her boutique that she operated in Atlanta, GA & she also had one in North Carolina. She only wanted payment by bank wire transfer. She was to send an authentic Chanel J12 33mm watch one in white and one in black and 2 of the Chanel ceramic and diamond rings. So the money was wired.ONE white watch arrived. It was fake. I never received anything else. I contacted my bank, the bank where I transfered the money, the Atlanta police - NOTHING!!!!
Her bank said they could do nothing about the wire transfer, in essence I was just sending her money. I called the Chamber of Commerce in Atlanta and NC and several other places trying to find her. She stopped responding to emails, the phone had been disconnected. So at the end of this sad journey I was out well OVER $10,000.00!! No one I spoke with would even try to help me.
The business name she used at the time was ABS Designs and aslo Elite.
I am so sorry GM for the death of your ex-husband and for all of the problems with the purchase. I hope the seller resolves this very soon for you.

golden's mom, I'm very sorry you have to go through all these troubles lately...and hope it will be all over soon and you won't feel bad any more. I wanted to ask if you have her phone number??

Goldensmom, My heart goes out to you...I pray that things will work out and that your heart will heal...
Penny, OMGosh what a nightmare! I am so sorry... Such aweful things should never happen to such a lovely lady as you....

I'm not an eBay expert but I do believe it's a misrepresentation of some sort. If you didn't see the bag first hand, how can you describe it accurately? This is even more worrying if it's a pre-used bag, I hear so many complaints about sellers not disclosing the actual condition of the bag and that maybe due to them never really actually seeing it.

golden's mom, I hope you get your money back and sorry about your ex.

Penny, that's horrible!!!! :wtf: Are you saying there's really no recourse for buyers who are defrauded of their money like that?! It sounds like you really went the distance and nobody was there for you at ALL... It makes me so mad that people do this...

golden's mom
, if anything, do write a letter to the seller and state that you will make this situation public by letting others know about her as a reseller... if she does not respond by so and so point. It's not even the fact that she hasn't returned the money yet that bothers me, it's the lack of communication. That's a lot of money, you have every right to be concerned, and so do other potential buyers. If anything she should be taken off the recommended sellers list.

I'm so sorry that this is happening to you, golden's mom, and that this happened to Penny.

i'm sorry to hear about your ex and i hope your situation would get resolved soon, golden mom.

penny: oh, my.....i'm so sorry about your experience. i was very shocked when i read your post. what an awful person that seller is...
