please dont throw eggs at me, maybe its my frenchy elitist side but for gods sake I hate it when people dont know how to pronouce the brands they love!

I absolutely suck at this phonetic thing but honestly to me Loo-boo-tan seems right with the 'N' kind of silent but not entirely. :shrugs:

French being my first language too, I feel the same.

But it's really hard for me to try to explain how to pronounce the IN sound... a lot of people pronounce it like Loubout-anne or Loubout-âne, like Oprah, not to name her, and it drives me crazy. :shame:;)

Here's another one - when I ordered my Minibouts a couple of weeks ago, I pronounced it "Mini-boot," because that's the way the "bout" part of Louboutin is pronounced, so I guess I just assumed it would be the same. My SA was like, "you mean the mini-bout," pronouncing it like "about." Which do you ladies think is correct?

Gah, maybe I should call a boutique or store or two. But anyway, there's no French word that is spelled "gres", which makes me think that it's supposed to be a woman's name, hence the "Lady Gres". I talked to a couple French relatives and they don't know, unfortunately.

Ah, I see, *Lo. You had me confused.

your confusing me, lol. Its like gray. Like the actress Jennifer Gray from the movie dirty dancing. or grey like the color between black and white. pronounced gr-A......
