I like Saffiano leather for some styles. I think the more structured styles hold up very well with Saffiano and it wears extremely well. It resists scratches and general wear and tear. For slouchier, less structured styles, I prefer regular calfskin, lamb leather, or pebbled leather.

My wallet doesn't have a smell, so I'd go with no...?When I buy leather bags, I want to feel and smell the wonderful leather - whether it be smooth, grainy or pebbled leathers. Suffice it to say, I don't get that high when I touch saffiano (btw, does it have leather smell?). Durability is not a factor, it is what makes me happy.Sad to say, saffiano does not make me happy.
Yeah good-quality nylon is great!I don't like Saffiano leather at all. I'd rather be using japanese Nylon for bags or nice pebbled leather.
