haha, love how you said "millionaire lover", because im my own "millionaire lover" =)
im no millionaire but i dun believe that we should rely on other ppl for anything it's just not good in any way i can think of.
i operate my own business, hard work pays off

I'm a DINK*, so there's money, but I still use my credit card and try to keep the balance paid off. And since I recently became self-employed (yay, but scary!), I've purged the OMG Closet. Now purchases are "thought about" rather than spur-of-the-moment, since I don't have as much control over my income.

I was averaging two or three bags per month, but now - no. I've got the five I want, and that's it. Now I'm focused on small leathers (more affordable, and still makes me happy.)

I'm very young, with an addiction to purses that I cannot support on my own!! I work very hard in school (A's and B's) so I dont have time for a job. Also I get money during the week for food, so sometimes I stay in, and save, save, save for a bag!! I'm waiting for the day that I finally have a career and I can walk into Chanel and and say "I'll take the white AND black one!!"

I grew up in a middle class family - so my first two bag purchase was on my own - through work. This was all during my high school senior year. Then for graduation, my boyfriend bought me a gucci tote. After that, I purchased 2 more coaches for myself and I bought 1 for my mom. $500- bags & shoes are easy for my to afford. But for my more expensive bags, that are 1k+, my boyfriend has gifted them to me for my graduations from high school, college (Chanel).

I'll chime in with those who say hard work! I'm 37 and an RN in the Air Force so I (finally!) make pretty good money (and you'd be amazed if you saw what you can buy at about 20% below retail AND tax-free in the military exchanges, though I'm still waiting for those elusive Burberrys to show up on my watch). I too am a DINK like indiaink above, and while we're not bathing in cash, we're cozy. When I came back on active duty we rented out our house in NC, so we have good income from that as well.

Plus, I must confess I married a financial genius.

I've had a slew of Coaches and Dooneys (and I have a huge leather Fossil that I practically stole from the sale table at Fort Belvoir's exchange a couple of years ago - $400 for $92!) but am now entering the "big time"...lol. Getting my first Burberry soon.

I'm still relatively young (early 20s), have a full time job and still live at home to try to save money. I have received one of my more expensive bags as a birthday gift, but the rest come directly from my account/credit card, with it paid off each month regardless of it being a purse that was charged or something much less costly.

I always worked for what I wanted, but at the same time, I had my parents paying for the more important things like car insurance... and a roof over my head... But my job paid relatively well, if not for my shopping disease, I could have bought two new cars instead AND for what my parents kindly paid to support me instead, I put those to handbags...

Now that I'm married, I'm learning to prioritize because do I eventually want my dream home and car and ultimately a comfortable life as opposed to just surrounding myself with "things"? Most definitely, but it's a hard addiction to break once you've been bitten.
