I have worked in the insurance industry
A full investigation will be done
and the law will be applied.

In these cases when we attempt to put a value on a life.
A lot of what is looked at is the lifestyle, education, and assest
this person was able to accumulate before death.

I know one of the adjusters on the team and she told me.
Her family is claiming this lady was responsiable for
around 10 family member, that is what her income was used for.
Some of these relatives live in another country.

Appears she was in her late 30's working as a waitress.
All of this will be considered, the attrys
have life charts that can be used as well.

In my professional Opinion not a $50 Million Case.

actually, Range Rovers are known for their horrible technical problems. New and old, they're all garbage. Range Rovers were named the worst SUV's on the road in 2006. So, there is a slight chance there was a problem, but most likely she was on her phone or messing with the radio/ipod/cd player.

The thread was posted in here a while back...but as you'll see, no one in here said that he deserved to be jailed even though was speculation that he was drunk driving....as I said before....HMMM

I don't know how this will play out but I think her family will be compensated in the end.

My 7yr old cousin was hit and killed by a car 2yrs ago.The woman that hit him was driving 15 miles over the speed limit in a residential neighborhood when Justin shot out from behind two parked cars.He had been playing with some children on the opposite side of the street when his mom called him to come home for dinner.Being a child he didn't think and took off running without looking both ways :sad: .

The parents were awarded a $500,000.00 settlement after all was said and done an none of these individuals were celebritys in any sense of the word.

Or, they'll use the money to set up a foundation in their daughter's name. Or donate it to her favorite charity. That's the decent thing to do. (That's what I'm hoping they're going to do.)

I've been wondering why there is no discussion of the SECOND car that hit the same car that Brandy did.

Could it be because the second driver is not a celebrity?

I'm not excusing Brandy...it appears she was driving carelessly at the least..over the speed limit and not paying attention to traffic...just wondering if any fault has been assigned to the second driver.

And I am wondering if the fatal injuries were caused by the first collision or the second.

I could be wrong about this, but if one car rear ends another car, causing a chain reaction, it's the first car's fault.

Brandy was the person who happened to be driving the first car. She hit the car in front of her which caused a chain reaction.

Oh please seriously. Many of us don't even know who he is. Notice the lack of interest in that thread, the number alone say alot. Plus he has no defense & has no chance of getting off for his crime. And never mind who he was with. Please don't try to turn this into something it is so obviously not.

You seem to be upset...are you offended? I thought this was a public discussion. The fact is, there was a discussion started in which a teenager died due to a celebrity's blatant carlessnes (drunk driving), and no one seemed to be that upset.
You are proving the point that I was trying to make, which is that IMO, Brandy is only being treated this way because of the level of her celebrity. No one cares about the Lane Garrison accident because he is pretty much an unknown..which should not matter, he killed someone.

We are both saying the same thing here....please don't accuse me of trying to turn this into anything other than what it is.. thank you.
