From the pictures that Prada posted, I think Brandy may have initated the accident, but someone else did MAJOR damage to the side of her car (from all the reports its I understand Brandy did the hitting from behind).

I've read alot of responses and I feel I can speak on this because I lost a family member. Not of the same cause, but...

With Brandy, whether or not she was paying attention, it was an accident. If it were anyone else, the family would not have been as hard on the person and probably would have allowed the person to grieve right along with their family. However, because she is a celebrity, people are automatically thinking "The family should sue". Suing someone isn't going to bring that family member back, nor will it make them feel any better. I had a family member that was shot because he was in the car with someone that the shooter missed and he was killed anyways. And guess what? The shooter didn't do one day in jail. How's that for justice? If it had been in an accident, I think we would have felt better about it and most likely would not have tried to get the person to go to jail. That's just my thoughts on it, right or wrong.

Brandy Faces Second Lawsuit in Fatal Crash

A second wrongful death lawsuit has been filed against R&B singer Brandy stemming from her fatal car accident in December, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.

It was filed on behalf of two boys whose mother, Awatef Aboudihaj, was killed in the freeway crash that police say was triggered by Brandy in Los Angeles on Dec. 30.

Paul Philips, an attorney for the boys, Mrwan Mohamed, 14, and Kareem Mohamed, 10, said they are suing for an undisclosed amount, "but this is a priceless case to these kids who've lost their mother. These boys don't even quite understand their loss yet."

Brandy's rep previously said in a statement: "The accident was a terrible tragedy and Brandy's heart goes out to Aboudihaj's family."

The L.A. City Attorney's office is still deciding whether to formally charge the singer, whose full name is Brandy Norwood, with misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter, which was recommended by investigators on the case.

If charged and convicted, Brandy, 28, faces up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine.

On Jan. 30, Aboudihaj's parents, who reside in Morocco, filed a $50 million wrongful death lawsuit against Brandy, claiming that she was "driving recklessly."

I haven't read this whole thread because frankly it makes me sick. There is no such thing as an 'accident' when you're driving. Its driver error. She was not paying attention. Final, thats it. Calling it an accident doesn't make that person any less dead.

More people need to be bought to task over their appalling driving. Only then will the rates of 'accidents' be reduced.

^ I completely disagree.

My grandmother was in a terrible accident (that she caused by ACCIDENT) and she was not driving wrecklessly or appallingly.

Luckily nobody was hurt badly. Yes it was her fault the accident happened....but it was an ACCIDENT.

If you're going to operate a vehicle it is your responsibility to realize that you are putting yourself on the road with thousands of other vehicles....and that is a risk.

That's not to say that people shouldn't be punished for wreckless driving, etc. but sometimes accidents do happen no matter how responsibly you are driving.
