How are your Swift Bags aging?

I had a swift kelly and it was VERY slouchy and scratched easily. The handle and the bag became one big flop. If you want a super relaxed Kelly, then it's fine but I'm not a fan of the leather. I also have a Swift Toolbox and it's very hard to keep its shape. I end up carrying it with the wings out because if I fold it up, it's not as structured as I would like. It also scratches easily and cannot be refurbished as easily as box in my opinion.

I think a small swift bag like a pochette or a bag that is supposed to look relaxed (like a lindy) may work in swift but I would hesitate to get a Kelly. I would actually choose Clemence over swift for a kelly (though my favorite is still box, Barenia, VN, and Togo). I would even consider Epsom over swift on a Kelly (and I'm not a fan of Epsom) just because it's lightweight and will keep its shape.
Thank you!! Super helpful....Swift is out for now. I just need to find out if they'll do a sellier in Togo. Forgot to ask the studio yesterday :)

What i do like about swift is the smell. I really do. I get high just smelling swift haha ;) And there's also the sheen. My bag positively glows in the sun because of the sheen. Plus the colour in swift is just amazing!!!

Birkel's thread about swift is a nice read. And I echo that the good outweigh the negative side in this leather.. i think in small leather goods such as CDC or a berline bag, swift is just perfect! I just have to be careful how i store the bag and of course I try not to overstuff.

agree about the smell and sheen. my swift K25 was sitting under the sun in Roland Garros for 8 hours last weekend, and it didn't melt. and i kept admiring the sheen. lol..and i do overstuff my K25 as it can fit a lot..it hasn't slouch so far and still looks good :D

but agree if one doesn't like slouch, small sizes will be the way to go for swift..waiting for my b25 in swift!!

I have both swift and gulliver (swift's predecessor) bags and they've both held up beautifully. I love the leather and would buy either one again in a heart beat.

I am rethinking it....my SA in Paris says he likes it for its smoothness and in his opinion it can be an everyday bag - which is what I need. He did say I can get sellier in Togo or even Clemence, so I am assuming in Swift as well, and I really love the smoothness....

Wow they are very flexible in Paris. Lucky you! Then why in other countries only epsom and box are allowed for sellier? :what:

Can someone chime in on swift birkin vs swift kelly? I have both and I find that my birkin slouches more and it's slightly softer than the kelly? Also, do you find that pre 2008 swift leather seems thicker and and 2009 onwards, the leather is thinner?

For me i find it the opposite. I have a birkin from '08 and the leather is thinner than my Kelly '15.. I am for the swift birkin. For me it's hard to close the kelly if it's not sellier :|

I find that the new Swift is a lot thinner. I have three Swift Jige clutches. The newest one is super thin and kind of flimsy compared to the two older ones, which are more rigid.

Anyone else have experience with the thinner Swift?

Perhaps it's more of a batch thing or choosing specific pieces for specific bags. Smaller bags are perhaps more suited to the thinner pieces than larger bags? I have a Swift Birkin 35 from 2003 and a Swift Kelly 32 from 2013 and they feel pretty much identical, thick and plush not thin at all.

hi ladies, im new to swift and have a lindy in blue indigo...from your experience is swift very prone to scratches? and if scratched may leave marks on the leather? i do notice some tiny white spots and they seem obvious when it is on a darker color like indigo...any idea if it is becos the leather is thin? thanks.

all my swift bags have been through rain, scratches from my h belt buckles, bracelets etc..all survived intact.

my kelly 25 is my most used swift bag - from 2011. still looks as good as ever. use it for travelling a lot. very convenient size and fits quite a lot.

I love your bags! I bought a swift-Kelly 28, and I love it. It is so light and soft.

Btw- I love your New Balances, which one is it?

Hello! I always see NB on others that I love, but they never look as good on me. I have a bunch of 2 styles- the numbers escape me- they are the walking shoes, but love the look of yours. If I remember correctly, my swift is Noisette. I will post a picture later today 😀

Dear chincac- here is my Swift. I am terrible at pictures, lol. There is some stuffing inside but not much and she is a D in a square for those of you who want to know how swift ages. I personally thought I'd never like Swift and have to say I love it. It is so light, so soft, and so rich in color.ImageUploadedByPurseForum1462642212.794729.jpg
