Hot stamping ... Yes or no ??

I will never again order a producct online with hotstamping. I did this and the Sarah wallet they sent me had a big scratch on the gold button. Suffice to say I had a difficult time returning it. But after much effort, I was given a full refund, went to the LV boutique to select a new Sarah and had them hot stamp on premisis. The hot stamping they did in the store was nicer than my original online order and I was able to make sure my wallet was perfect.

I personally do not understand the urge to plaster your initials on items. I don't get it. Do people forget who they are and need a reminder of their own name? Why would I want strangers knowing my initials. Just weird to me. I think it is perfect for luggage that you have to identify on a carousel at the airport but thats it.

I thought that one at the beginning . But, I
feel that this is my first LV wallet and I want
it personalize by putting my initials . Not
because u forgot who u are .. Lol but it's
something special that u give it to yourself.
Plus, only authentic has hot stamping !

I LVoe hotstamping! I get compliments on my speedies all the time and people wonder if it's a special edition. I think with speedies so rampant it's a nice way to personalize your bag, but not as flashy as the mon mono (which I plan to get). I'm not sure about hot stamping other styles, I think it looks best on speedies and SLGs.

Yes! My speedy 35 is heat stamped Big Font in Gold at the base of my handles... I now get asked all the time if it was a " special LV bag that was made for me "!? ( by those who are not super familiar with LV) I also have had a couple of sales gals at some clothing stores say: " love your bag!... We see so many fakes it's hard to tell them apart now a days, but it's easy when someone has the signature heat stamping."

Handle* just one, darn auto spell.

Ps. My wallet and NF GM are stamped too ( small and in gold. ) SA did a great job. I like heat stamping, not for vanity purposes... But someday, I'd like to pass down my "classic" LV pieces to my daughter (s)... I think it would be nice to have my initials for sentimental reasons... And maybe add their own... And pass it down... And So forth and so forth...
