Not many separated couples look so at ease in each other’s company as Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie do.
The proud parents of Luca put on a united front as they took their son for lunch at Charlie’s Pantry in Bel Air.
Seeing them together, looking the happy family, could make anyone think they’re on course for reconciliation.

Hilary and Mike married in 2010 after three years of dating and welcomed Luca into the world in 2012.
The pair announced their separation in January with a statement from Hilary’s rep which read: ‘Hilary Duff and husband Mike Comrie have mutually decided to an amicable separation.
‘They remain best friends and will continue to be in each other's lives. They are dedicated to loving and parenting their amazing son, and ask for privacy at this time.’

United front: In a statement, Hilary's rep said she and Mike would remain the best of friends.
Since their split, the parents have been spotted together on numerous occasions with their son, and on this family outing Hilary gave Luca a playful piggy back while Mike carried his bag.
Duff wore an oversized cable-knit jumper with white jeans, mirrored aviator sunglasses and her blonde hair tied back into a bun.
It was their son’s birthday on Thursday, celebrating his second year on earth but it looks like the little one had a full weekend of merriment planned.
On Sunday, Hilary tweeted a picture of two birthday cakes in the shape of Disney Cars characters.
‘Dopest birthday cakes evvvvvvvver @charmcitycakeswest Luca almost had a heart failure!!! (sic),’ the actress tweeted.

Back to music: Hilary is gearing up to release her first studio album since 2007's Dignity
The star has been busy working on material for her first studio album since 2007's Dignity.
'Music is so personal to me,’ Hilary has said. 'I can be myself, and say what I want to say. I feel I’m honest and don’t try to hide things.
'But music enables people to learn about my personality, how I’m evolving. Even if I don't feel comfortable talking about something, I can feel comfortable expressing that same thing through my music.'
In December, the former Disney star told CityTV's Breakfast Television Toronto: 'The first six songs I've done have all been really dancey and upbeat, uplifting, happy stuff. So now I'm getting into the moody.'
