I know it's hard to believe that there's a celebrity couple who wants to work on their marriage work rather than divorcing would exist without some kind of publicity agenda. But, I think it's possible that they were going through some counseling and were advised to take a vacation together as family one last time to see if after their time together if breaking up their family is still what they really want to do before making any final decision. I guess I see her as keeping her family to be more important to her than trying to get publicity to promote her music career.

Eh, who knows? I don't think it's unheard of for couples in counselling to take time away together - the single greatest factor in relationship breakdowns comes back to poor communication, so time between the two of you is always good to get to the heart of what's not working. It's important also that people feel free to change their minds about things, you know, before they formally tweet about the 'conscious uncoupling'...
She doesn't seem like the kind of person who would use her marriage/divorce as a publicity stunt. Considering she got married at a very young age compared to most people her age. I hope that she finds happiness and her husband treats her better.

Probably bc she's a cute girl that smiles and giggles at the cameras. I like Hilary well enough, but she knows what she's doing and does what works for her.
Good point. Hillary has definitely stayed in the public eye/"relevant" for the past several years by having the paps on speed dial. IDK... I still like her, though. She seems to be nice and to have a good head on her shoulders. But who knows. And her style is adorable for the most part, so I like looking at her pap pics lol. Good for them for working it out. Still wonder if the rumors about him cheating and having a side piece are true. I have a feeling there is some truth. There was a lot of smoke around that whole story, so there was probably some fire, if that makes sense. I am interested to see what her new music will sound like. I remember loving that song she did that was on the Laguna Beach opening forever ago haha.

The celebs that live in privacy are the ones that don't need to work anymore. They're the ones with established careers. They get to pick and choose their roles carefully, they have roles written for them, etc. They don't call the paps because they don't need to keep their names and faces out there. No one is going to forget who Julia Roberts is anytime soon. Hilary (and other celebs who call paps) still have to (or want to) hustle. I don't think it's a negative thing at all, it's just how the game is played.
True. Nothing wrong with it at all. Only time I find people getting upset is when the celeb outright lies about calling them and, in addition, behaves smugly and as though they are above "needing" the paps. Otherwise, go for it!

Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie don't look like people that recently separated ... instead, they were hanging together at Coachella this weekend looking every bit the married couple.
Duff and her NHL player hubby announced their separation back in January, but still managed to take a family vacation together over Valentine's Day (see below).
Perhaps this relationship isn't over until the divorce attorney sings.
