Scarves Hermesmatic - worth a try? Please post your opinions and before/after photos of scarves

 We had an #hermesmatic pop-up store in Vienna last year. I took two scarves, one of them being a 140cm summer silk Grand Manege. I loved the event and love my new old scarf and wear it a lot!
I wrote a couple of blog posts about it and some friends and I showed scarves before and after.

However, once the scarf has been died, there is no way back! I would suggest to only take scarves there that you won't cry over if they don't turn out the way you had expected them to.

I finally made it to Austin yesterday and dropped off four scarves. Bunnycat is right, the color specialist with the pink hair is amazing. All of the staff were knowledgeable, but she looked over my choices after I filled out the forms and suggested a different color for one of my scarves to get the effect that I wanted. I can’t wait to see how my scarves turn out!

I did succumb to the scarves on sale, negating the whole concept of a free Hermes event. But who could say no to these gems? IMG_1521043105.216345.jpg
Lalbhai 140cm silk in blue and Chantilly 90cm in fuschia. I was shocked to see the Chantilly since I believe it’s a fairly old design. They had several Lalbhai for sale (fuschia and I think a dark purple). Lots of 140cm Ex Libris Pour Suite (name? The one with stripes and circles all over). I wish I could remember more of the 90cm designs, but the choices were overwhelming. I do recall a green Equator, a lovely pale pink Champignons, and a teal blue Faubourg 24. There was also a stunning yellow Tigre Royal 140cm on display. I wish I could go back with more scarves to dip dye, but I fear that I’d come home with more scarves than I dropped off.

These are wonderful ouija board, I don't think I could have resisted them either!!! I'd love to see more of the pre-dyed scarves available somewhere, perhaps on the website; I would imagine that would be easy enough to do....

those are stunners ouija board! Congrats! They both have that incredible DD glow!

Ok- I am back with my DD pick ups and more....

I remembered to take pictures this time!

Here's the before and after of my two scarves. They came out GREAT and everyone was super nice! I'll surely be going down to Houston town at some point to visit with the lovely SA who was up for the event from the Houston store. She is super sweet.

Wow!!! Msr et Mmme went from blah- totally not my colors to WOW! I love this now!

And a few images from the cases and walls. If you are anywhere near the area, I really suugest making the trip. Come in from the south (Ben White/71) if you come from out of town, and park a couple of block south of it and walk in to avoid SxSW.

These were all for sale:

Vintage 90 Champignons DD'd a beautiful pink with deep plummy brown mushrooms.

De la Mer au Ciel in a couple of colors

I totally agree! I love these dip dyes so much. I wish there was a place to buy them, or even through a personal shopper if the markup wasn't too crazy.

Thanks for the photos! I especially like how your Champignons came out.
These stacks of dip dyes makes me literally ache to be there! I'm so excited for you that you found your grail - that is one of my grail scarves too - the border is so whimsical and the inner print is so beautiful!

Thank you nicole! The Champignons was for sale. I though that was amazing because it was already so old and soft. It was a dream to touch it.
