Genuinely curious about this comment. Who cares how other people spend their own money.
I just watched the beginning of the video out of curiosity since I live in Seattle. I think it only comes across as a little strange because she does a little video tour of her hotel and it is definitely the type of budget hotel we all stayed at in our early 20s. My guess is that all normal hotels were booked already, but it was a little odd to have a tour of the room in the video.

I'm laughing at fashionablyamy's vlog so hard. She showed her hotel in Seattle and it looked so unluxurious. Maybe an ibis hotel. And yet she drops 5 figures a year on luxury goods.
Why would that be strange? I’m one of those people…I would stay in an Air B n B or a decent hotel, yet I spend money on luxury goods.

I will find it shocking if she stays in a backpacker’s dorm… otherwise the hotel room looks fairly decent.

The room seems totally standard issue, I have no criticism of it, I was just saying that maybe OP commented about the room because it was surprising that the YouTuber did a video tour of the room as if it was something to see.

Ah probably just to show others how a hotel in Seattle looks like. I think some of her pals are from Asia - to locals, it might be meh but to them, some of their subscribers may enjoy it because they have not been to Seattle.

Hotel room tours are kinda a YouTube thing too. I had friends who requested me to video up my hotel rooms in the Japanese ryokans because they are thinking of booking a place in those prefectures.

I wouldn’t say it’s what a hotel in Seattle looks like, but you’re probably right that she is just showing a bit of everything. I do not watch YouTube videos typically, I just looked at this one since people said it was in Seattle, my hometown. I’m sure you are right that she is just showing a bit of everything since everyone has different interests.

I don’t think this has been mentioned here, but HRH Collection has been showing a few new Bs and Ks in her recent videos (I’ve spotted B25 ostrich, B25 malachite/green, mini Kelly green, Constance black). Although she isn’t talking about them in her videos, it does come as a surprise following her video from like 4 years ago titled is your birkin basic and the more recent video tiled designer bags are done.

I hope she talks about how she managed to get her hands on all of these beauties in such a short period of time, especially since people keep asking in the comments.

Fashionable Amy have gone down a route similar to where we saw purseonfleek a while ago which made me quite sad to watch. Amy gives off very sad vibes at the moment and it’s clear that she’s too invested in her “journey” and that it gives her no joy but rather a lot of frustration.

Mentioning purseonfleek I feel like she’s in a better place now and that makes me happy.

I’m grateful for the content creators out there and I don’t want to criticise, it just saddens me when you see people falling apart a bit on video.

Had to unsub from FashionablyAmy after her JOMO video. Her content has been stressing me out lately. She has such an intense relationship with her stuff. I can't sense any joy in any of her purchases. If anyone should be embracing JOMO, it should be Amy, so she can resist the urge to buy 5 nano bags in one month only to sell 4 of them the next month.

I think that she is struggling with the topics to create the content, not so much her stuff.

Thats the vibe I am getting. There are only so many unboxings one can do before some of the viewers get bored.

Some others discuss fashion gossips, topics in-depth and thoughts on fashion or its history while some focus on their buys. Her channel happens to be more focused on the latter than the former.

What do you guys think of this. A youtuber recently posted that she was traveling, went to a very competitive Hermes store in a competitive city and was offered a quota bag as a non local, in the manner that touristy places do - you prespend, tell how long you're in the city and they offer you later on in your trip. It doesn't seem like she prespent much, only popular items too, at least what was revealed in the video. Now the specs of the quota bag were not The most coveted but it was still a popular size in a nice color.

So now visitors (if you're an influencer) are favored over locals, where locals have to spend at least 2:1 or up to 5:1 at that store and wait months to be offered a quota bag of the same color/size popularity.
I thought travelers are disfavored over locals but not true if you're an influencer!
