What do you guys think of this. A youtuber recently posted that she was traveling, went to a very competitive Hermes store in a competitive city and was offered a quota bag as a non local, in the manner that touristy places do - you prespend, tell how long you're in the city and they offer you later on in your trip. It doesn't seem like she prespent much, only popular items too, at least what was revealed in the video. Now the specs of the quota bag were not The most coveted but it was still a popular size in a nice color.

So now visitors (if you're an influencer) are favored over locals, where locals have to spend at least 2:1 or up to 5:1 at that store and wait months to be offered a quota bag of the same color/size popularity.
I thought travelers are disfavored over locals but not true if you're an influencer!
I wouldn’t redefine the understanding of H’s entire business model over one alleged experience. Sounds like one person got lucky. It happens.

I don’t think this has been mentioned here, but HRH Collection has been showing a few new Bs and Ks in her recent videos (I’ve spotted B25 ostrich, B25 malachite/green, mini Kelly green, Constance black). Although she isn’t talking about them in her videos, it does come as a surprise following her video from like 4 years ago titled is your birkin basic and the more recent video tiled designer bags are done.

I hope she talks about how she managed to get her hands on all of these beauties in such a short period of time, especially since people keep asking in the comments.
I’m pretty sure they’re fake since she mentioned in a prior video that she was just going to buy a fake mini Kelly  (the green mini and the ostrich b are knocks, her black Constance and mag b are real)

Personally, YOUTUBERS (specifically related to Hermes & Chanel) consistently create these scenarios
to be what I consider a "tease"..
Walked into a competitive H store was offered a "quota bag".. Look what I got & all those
that are waiting, ha ha
Needs to be in perspective, JMO

Dont believe everything these you tubers tell you.
Ok so maybe it did happen as she says..
But bear in mind their 'job' is to appear special

I watched said video as well, of the Youtuber who was offered a quota bag Kelly, Sellier 28 in Celeste/palladium. She said she was recognized by the store manager, I believe. This Youtuber does not post alot of H, but seems to more frequently and only has 6.22k subscribers so I thought that was odd. Meatpacking was the boutique in NYC - this is where Cassie also scored her mini kelly. Meatpacking is not her home boutique - they had even left the store and she received a text to come back - the boutique just received a bag they thought she would like.

I feel like meatpacking loves influencers just based on what I've seen on youtube. *****, ******, and now ***** have all received good offers with little purchase. I did appreciate that in her video she said she was recognized and that may have had something to do with the offer. Plus she has spent quite a bit at various other boutiques internationally so :shrugs:. It's lowkey funny though that she just got a very similar kelly 32 resale.

In terms of youtubers; I just came upon ****** *** **** ******** and WOW, she spends SO MUCH on bags/luxury goods from all brands (she's a VVIP at LV). She started shopping in Nov 21 in the Sydney store and already has a birkin 30, SO Birkin 35, and now just got a box mini kelly. But she pre-spends a lot; I know shes getting her perfume party favors done by Hermes as well. I know she owns a small education company with her mother and idk what her partner does but her purchase history is on par with people who own mega-million dollar companies.

I think I know who you’re referring to and I don’t know her level of wealth but she appears to live modestly based on her ig posts. Regardless she shops on a completely different level to the point of an addiction imo. But to each their own eh?

Cranley Place is one of my favorites. She’s not tacky, catty or dramatic. She is a bit rehearsed and I get my sneak peak at upcoming seasons’s scarves here before she posts them, but she discusses the history of the scarves, the artists, etc.
Where she is best is when she talks about grail scarves and future grail predictions, how the scarves are made and discusses the real investment we make in them and is it worth it. She also does a lot of knot tutorials, talks about the preloved market and gives silk care instructions.
If you’re looking for the exact opposite of POF, this is it.

Good to see a shout out for a simple informative contributor; not someone with an axe to grind or pretention to be an, heaven forbid!, 'influencer'.
Thank you
