Does anyone own the men’s Arceau L'Heure de la Lune watch? I was curious bc FSH said it’s a very special watch, with only a few made and available worldwide. They had 1 but was sold the day before, so we didn’t get to see it.

Yes, here is a photo of our Arceau L'Heure De La Lune and Arceau Petite Lune Jeté de diamants et saphirs.
I call them our moon watches for short.
At a watch event last week, we saw they had another moon watch with meteorite dial. My hubby’s watch is aventurine.

They’re beautiful! Thinking of picking one up for my husband if o can hunt one down. How does your husband like his watch?

He loves watches overall. He finds the movements in this watch unique so he asked for one when it was first announced. But in terms of aesthetic, he has others with better finishing. He looks at his watches in fine details. It’s one of his collectables.

DH has been offered this and a couple different versions just this month but our FSH SA is looking for one particular model for him.View attachment 5800231
It’s a beautiful timepiece. I didn’t realize they have so many different versions. The SA made it a point to mention that Ben Affleck has one too. :) The SAs as Sevres also mentioned that they’ve never seen the physical watch in the store before either since there are so few of them. Out of curiosity, which version is your husband looking for?

They have a couple of different dials for this watch, with the Martian one being the most expensive. I love this watch, but I dislike that it is a little thick, and the movement finishing is not that good for the price they are asking for. Overall it's a very unique watch that only Hermes can make.

It's not a watch by a watchmaker's marque, but this one is interesting to us.

I do agree with you. It's a very unique watch and worth having in a watch collection, and I hope one day they do a platinum or a steel version since I don't wear gold.
Ah! Perhaps you could put in a request with your FSH SA for a Horizon version because they do watches too. I know someone who put in a request for a watch to be approved and your SA knows exactly whom to contact.

If I remember correctly, the one I saw at the watch event last Wednesday was in platinum. The dial is Martian Meteorite and the price is $130K; it is this rarity that brings the price significantly higher. We purchased ours in the first released before they came out with the meteorites dial. I’m with you on the “..movement finishing is not that good for the price they are asking for.”

I figured the Martian version would cost that much. As much as I love this watch, I can't justify spending that amount of money just for the sake of a rare dial material, but that's me.

I do love Hermes, and I think they have some really amazing watches with some of the best dials in the industry. My only grip is that they are trying to compete with the big names, but they don't want to have better-finished movements for their high-end watches. It's like the equivalent of having a Birkin made using a sewing machine.
