Hello docride,

You seem to be getting better and I certainly hope that is the case. Wishing you a continuing good recovery.

When you have a moment, can you please give me some advice on my light tan vintage Herbag leather? In order to generally clean, condition and water/stain proof it what would you suggest? I think I know the answer but I'd like to see what you suggest.

The leather is generally clean with two or three very light water spots, some very faint (perhaps natural oil) darkening in areas, and a smile mark where the lock used to sit. I used a pink eraser to try to remove the smile mark but it is still there and dangle the lock from the handles in the front to prevent any further damage. The most obvious blemish is a darkened mark on the underside of the upper leather.

Hi there
perfectly normal... the inside pocket isn't lined on one side.. also the leather has a fine nap which lays down when handled... that light dusty sort of top color and slight nap will lay down smooth with use. that's a special and rare piece ! congratulations!

I worried that something was wrong. Many thanks again! I'm really enjoying it. The format of the calendar is perfect for me. I have to admit that besides enjoying the agenda cover, the paper is pleasant to use and the calendar and all of the inserts are perfectly designed. All the best -

Hi doc, hope u or recovering well.

I noticed some distressing stuff happening to my B and would like to seek your advice.

1. Top left side of the B bag seems to be drying n cracking up. How can I salvage this?

2. On the rear of the bag, there is a white spot. It seems to be a bald spot, but it wasn't there previously. I dunno how it got there, but is there a way to get rid of it?

Is the centre part water mark?

I tried to read through all the posts but.... you know, i got tired and lazy. lol

anyways i have the Hermes constance croc bag and its quite dull on one side now with a bunch of scratches on it. is there anyway i can make it all shiny again? n what can i use to get rid of the scratches?

is it a shiny or a matte skin?
if shiny no you cant do anything to make it as shiny as it once was you can shine it some though
scratches will remain yo might make the look a bit better

Ans 1) have the color redone on your top seam its not cracking don't worry


Ans) try cleaning gently with a leather cleaning product I like
Luxury Again Cleansing wipes or lexol ph wipes
see how it looks good luck
