Thank you so much, Doc! I have Lexol PH wipes on hand and I just tried it on Vache Liegge, but the dirt didn't come off. I gingerly wiped it with ligheter hand since I was afraid to rub off the 2 tone effect on this leather. I'm sure they are dirt since they look more like spots on the front of the bag.

Maybe I should try Luxury again cleansing wipes. :smile1:

BTW, I have an Bolide in Chamonix rouge that I accidentallly spilled hot coffee on :crybaby: I quickly used napkin wiped the bag and used wet paper towel cleaned the spot until the smell of coffee gone. I then took the bag (Chamonix rouge) to Hermes for a spa and I just got it back. In bright sunlight, I still noticed the brown patch where I spilled the coffee on. Is there anything I can do at this point? Can I use any color touch up for this case?? Please advise>>>:smile1:

OH dear, It may have stained.. how large of a spill mark do you have now? You might be able to rinse it through some more or it may have stained.. can you show me?
All the best,doc

Hi Doc, Please forgive me if you've already addressed with somewhere else that I failed to find, but I wanted to ask you if there is any way to get rid of heat stamped initials. I saw a bag like the one in the photo below, but didn't buy it because of the initials (O.P. in this photo). It was a terrific price and in very good condition so I'd go back and grab it if I could somehow get rid of the initial, or at least make them fairly inconspicuous. Thanks in advance for your help on this question, as well as for all your previous advice which I've found invaluable!!!
You could use another hot stamp to go over the area and make it look less like the letters you see and more like something else... kind of like a tattoo covering the old with something new..
However it may be more of a blemish afterward.
Another idea is to have someone a jeweler perhaps to make you a fancy cover plate of silver or gold and then attach it over the area.. make your own mark if you will.. perhaps put your own initials or crest over it?
So I guess it about what you can live with?
All the best,doc

Thanks for your help.. :hugs:Can't believe the difference the lexol wipes & sapphir made. Can I just ask...as ongoing care should I clean & use the sapphir every year for maintenance?

Thank you for your excellent suggestions!!! I've decided to pass on the bag though since I think it would bother me and I'd rather spend more and get something I know I'd wear.

It is barely noticeable but I can still see it in bright sunlight. I couldn't help; I wiped that spot with Lexol PH wipe after I got the bag back from Hermes Spa. But the stain didn't come off, only the red slightly came off. This is one of my favorite bag. I prefer this Bolide to my Kellys. Can I cover it with some polish?? Thank you, DocRide!!

First off a stain should not be attempted to be cleaned of or wiped off with Lexol PH wipes because you can seal in the stain/ problem.

Second no I would not use polish to try and cover it you'll just end up in a bigger blemish that what is really slight now. I would say stop mucking with it now before you end up with a mess....
Good luck, doc

Looks great,on how often to clean and condition I say use best judgement.... but every 6 months is usually enough.

Thank you, DocRide. I stopped messing with it and I will be just enjoying it :smile1:. Feel bad about it.

To all Bolide owners, when holding a drink, and Bolide at the same time, be careful because the shoulder strap can easily slide off your shoulder and causing a disaster. Carrying your Bolide by its handles might be safer.

Please tell me if this is the right place to post my queries (I'm new here!). The attached photo is a Kelly in box leather. Was wondering if (1) the long scratch next to the plate, (2) the scuff at the corner, and (3) the scratch on the bottom, are considered deep and severe and if they can be 'fixed' or 'made invisible' with treatment of H spa. Thanks.

Hi all! Please help me identify this leather and colour so that I can give it the appropriate TLC before I take this little lady out for some sun and 'rain' ;p I've already equipped myself with some luxury again products but would love to know which H leather it is before I apply the products. Thank you all in advance! =)

Hello Doc,

I have just taken possession of a 31 trim in orange gulliver. There are a few small marks that don't bother me much, but I need some advice before I do further cleaning and moisturizing.

I started with lexol wipes. In the first pic you can see the line (on the back of the bag), which got a bit darker after wiping. When I got to the front, where there is a similar line scratch, I avoided the area entirely. The circular stain on the hardware strap lightened quite a bit with lexol wiping.

So my question is: should I go ahead with the Blackrock / Obenaufs treatments you outlined, or will the two scratch marks darken? They seem to be scratches made in the leather, rather than stains put onto the leather. As I said, I'm not bothered by them now, but definitely don't want to do anything to worsen. Also need to know if regular maintenance will be OK.

Thanks in advance for your expertise!

Was unable to upload both photos at once.
Here's the front, scratch untreated, but circular stain lightening nicely.

Thank you!
