Doc, thank you for reply. Previously you had recommended meltonian all purpose cleaner and conditioner for my new pigskin kelly. Is that safe for vache liegee ? I've been carrying Kelly bags for almost 30 years so am familiar
(unfortunately) with the corner issues. Most of the others are box , no idea what VL will do in rain or snow.
Thank you again

You can certainly use the Meltonian All Purpose Cleaner and Conditioner..just be very very very careful it's strong and has been known to take the finish off and lift color out of finished leather, drips and streaks can occur.... If you only use the product on a cloth and then use the cloth on the leather you should be OK but again use caution.
The Tarrago Neutral polish is my choice for the best results for your situation and leather in this instance. Good luck.

Hi Docride!

I'm thinking about buying this mens wallet on eBay and I want to know if these scratches are able to be buffed out. Your help is much appreciated.

You can certainly have those improved with some conditioning, polish and buffing. They may not entirely disappear but they will blend back into the patina. I would not be too worried about these, you would put them on yourself on a pristine wallet anyhow and they wuld blend into the patina over time all will belend. So, unless you are trying to make this look like a new item (that won't happen) I would say go for it.

Hi Docride:

Happy New Year
I just purchased a vintage 31 cm Gold colour courcheval bolide from 1994 with typical scuffed corners with colour loss and discoloration on the handles. After cleaning with two rounds of Lexol wipes the bolide looks like this the following. Any suggestions on what to do next. The body of the bag is in very good condition.

Thanks!

You can use high pigment polish or color dye to address the color loss areas. You may need both a polish and a color dye so why not try a Tarrago polish and color dye kit. You may need to get a few colors to mix the closest match to your bag's color.

Hello Doc,

Happy New Year!

Just got my HAC chevre from H spa. What products to i need to maintain it with? can it be waterproofed? and how often do i need to apply the products? I'm UK based so products that you can recommend that can be easily sourced here would be most appreciated!

TIA!

Hi Doc:

If I use a high pigment polish, what can be done to minimize the transfer of the polish colour to my clothes etc? Will a finishing coat of Blackrock help? Thanks

Hi Doc,

I'm looking to touch up the corners on some of my gold bags. Could you recommend which
Meltonian shade would be best for gold togo? Your advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I've been looking for a great cross body and have read time and time again that the Evelyne is he way to go. I am very new to Hermes and another TPf'er said this leather may be hard to restore so I am trying to do a little research. I've included the link to the bag. Does this one look hopeless or do you ladies think its repairable/restorable? I would send out to have done and wouldn't bother to do myself. TIA for any comments!
