Ernie, That is so me. I need a new skin care regime for winter and
where I am websurfing? On the high-end department store websites, of course! So, naturally, when I want a handbag, I don't want just any old thing, I want to acquire an Hermes! :)

robee, See above. *lol*

Is anyone going to treat themselves to any H this winter? A little holiday present? I don't think I can get a Clic Clac. But, if I can do a daytrip to the KoP mall, I'd like to buy a little something something and have the boutique experience.

Maybe a tea cup? I wonder if they still have that pattern I like.
It was white china with pink petals on it. It was on Hermes.com a few seasons ago. They even had the set with the tea pot. It was gorgeous. :)

I know what you mean. A friend recommended to try Creme de la Mer for skin care. They felt nice on the skin. Unfortunately, after checking how much these products were, I had to think about it first if I want to spend that kind of money. Oh well.

Oh I know what you mean. I believe those are still available but not just in the H website. They used to have the tea set. It is gorgeous. I want to get the Toucan ones or Siesta.

KB, I didn't give in to La Mer. Too expensive to get hooked on it. I'll stick with my usual Shiseido for men. It's expensive enough.

I can't wait to see the opening of the H store in Calgary. That would certainly be a nice drive in December too. I'd rather spend the money there. He he...

I'm planning my very 1st visit to H to purchase my very 1st H scarf, I feel this will help motivate me as I save for a bag.

this scarf ... it speaks to me

As to bags, I love the look of the Lindy but am finding myself pulled more and more to the marwari as my 1st H bag, I am 5ft 8 and think in the right color that it would be totally stunning and very in keeping with my clothing/style.

geekbabe, Aww! Maybe, next time...

Here's a cute little bag...it reminds me of a square Karo
with handles. It's called the Clou de Selle:

What a great starter H bag!

They also have
the leather Garden Party's on H.com:

The Marwari is also present:

Not that I'm trying to enable anyone or anything. ;) *LOL*

The more I look at the Marwari the more I'm convinced that it should be my first H bag (unless of course a sweetheart of a deal falls into my lap)

I love Birkins for structured bags but the Marwari will fit better for more of my everyday life.

geekbabe - I've seen the Marwari bag IRL and it's a really beautiful bag. It would have been a nice bag for men too if not for the short strap.

KB - I hope the store opens on time. I think the schedule is around the end of October. It's getting pretty close. I hope I get an invite.

Hi I am new to this and want a Birken. I was in the Rodeo Dr store and there was one in black that a woman purchased and it looked fabulous. My question is, if you only could afford one in the future, what color would it be. I love white, but not sure how that would work out for an everyday bag. Please help. Thanks, B

Ernie, I'll cross my fingers for you. :)
But you can always go the next day, right?
Keep your credit card ready.

Oh no, I'm not into going on the day of the opening unless there's something special that I would get. I'd rather go the next day. I just want to get the invitation and hopefully, an H hardhat.

Hopefully I don't have to clean out my CC.

Welcome to the H forum prettypink120. If I could only afford one Birkin (or HAC which is my preference), I would get it in natural Barenia. It's classic, neutral and I love the patina it develops over time.
