I discovered H scarves in the 80s also! I did a lot of business travel, and would use my trips as an excuse to visit the H boutiques in the major cities. Fortunately, my clients were all clueless about what I was wearing.
Although I remember once I had Texas Wildlife around my neck, and the people I was meeting with (this was a long-term project, so we all knew each other quite well) were intrigued by it so I whipped it off to reveal Mr. Turkey in the middle. Everyone was floored! Fortunately, everyone was also too polite to ask about $$$, but once they saw the entire design I think they guessed...

I think not medieval, but actually the Cretan Minotaur prancing on the sail of that Greek vessel. And, so fitting, as the fantastical cityscape could be described as a sort of labyrinth.

I have just this minute opened A L’Ombre des Pivoines and can tell you that the wrong side is indeed paler than the right side. This doesn’t put me off at all as I haven’t been buying H scarves for very long, but I can see your dilemma as you are a long term connoisseur!

I am too ill this morning for a full set of modelling pics, but I can give you a few quick first photos of my A L’Ombre des Pivoines that has literally just arrived. Colourway 14, bleu glacier, rose. I am thrilled with it as it is so beautiful and nothing like anything else in my small collection and will look great with greys. Oh, and the colours of the scarf are much richer and deeper than those in the website image (as usual).
Can anyone tell me if there will be a design story for this scarf? It is not on the website and I like to have these when I write my scarf profile posts for my blog.

Hope you like yours just as much. The design is so clever. The pillars in the centre are a kind of fulcrum. Turn the scarf around and you can see the buildings are the other way up, if you see what I mean. I can’t write very well this morning as I was up all night coughing. At least the scarf’s arrival has cheered me up! Thanks so much for the tip about the French site x
It's here! @momasaurus, I think you would love this blue. The colours are so vivid. Here is a selection of pics showing the various peonies (my favourite flower, btw), the reverse and a quick knotted shot to show how it contrasts. I love it! Also the gift box for this year. [emoji7]
