My soon to be CW choice as well. Some details on animapolis CW1. I like the fact that you can clearly see all the individual characters on this color way.

Do you think this is the artist himself?

You have a point, moma, it doesn't look intricate at all! I expected depth and luminosity like the PdS scarves, which certainly have a lot of detail that made it look 3D.View attachment 4281055
I know.....what on earth were we thinking and how naïve we were!! Thank heavens for TPF where others understand us. My IRL friends think I am nuts. [emoji38]
I also started in 2016. It started with vintage scarves. Then I fell in love with Parures de Samurai and bought my first new scarf from the boutique as a special treat. It was supposed to be an occasional treat. Then it became several a season... I had a meltdown recently about the thousands of dollars I’ve spent on new H scarves these past two years. But, hey, I love them. I wear them everyday. I’m not putting myself into debt. They bring me great happiness. I LOVE this thread every time the new seasons roll around. It’s just so exciting to see the new designs and hear what fellow scarfies like and don’t like. Can’t wait to see more mod shots!
What is the top scarf you posted, @QueenieQ ? I gather it's all one scarf, very intriguing.I did not see your request earlier but maybe these pictures could help you.

The design is quite interesting since you could emphasize on the bright corner or the more muted one.
I got the eye rolls back in the 80s when I glommed on to HS due to a NM boutique (sadly now gone) was near me. Only one person really knew anything about them but I'm sure his eyerolls were contagious. ("Did you see what she's wearing?!!!).Luckily my colleagues rarely notice me wearing different ones - only two of them know the price of 90 silks, and they all would probably do big time eye rolls if they knew about the other scarves’ prices![]()
There may have been a bit of a lack of detail somewhat evident to me when I was scrolling thru tpf photos. But, oh, my, the Siestes were jaw-dropping! Siestes have a powerful beauty about them!Even if it lacks detail compared to the 90 I am still ecstatic to finally be getting a Sieste! As I don't have a 90 I will be none the wiser anyway! You are versatile and talented in scarf-tying. Made me appreciate the animalopis much more. Do you think it's possible to tie it so that the big monster in the upper corner can be displayed? I like that big guy.
The real trouble starts when you get hunting past seasons grails, the time, the money, the bargaining with yourself, how important is a pristine scarf vs it being rare and/or in a rarely seen CW etc - it definitely distracts from hunting new issues.
I am seriously agog at your display skills . . you really know how to work a monster!Ha “Godzilla”! Took a bunch of all the monstersI'm quite impressed by that eyeball -- is it in a fish?
And the monsters? Did you find all of them, too? I'm a bit long in the tooth to be goth but I can still appreciate a monster!I trust my older kitty to be a scarf model View attachment 4280901 View attachment 4280902
I think I’ve found all the dogs lol

The little medieval imp on your second to last pic is splendid. Some more...
I hear you! I've been disappointed in the condition of some recent pre-loved purchases. The benefits of that experience are 1) I've learned what's most important to me - "pristine" over other factors, and 2) might be time to focus on new season offerings for a while. Not a bad outcome. The real trouble starts when you get hunting past seasons grails, the time, the money, the bargaining with yourself, how important is a pristine scarf vs it being rare and/or in a rarely seen CW etc - it definitely distracts from hunting new seasons![]()
Yes, I was hoping also, but all the CWs I saw looked flat.So disappointed to learn about the lack of debts in the butterfly scarf - had such high hopes for this - suppose all CWs will suffer from this.
