Some details on animapolis CW1. I like the fact that you can clearly see all the individual characters on this color way.

Do you think this is the artist himself?

I love the details! Thank you for sharing!
I’m already planning on purchasing 2 colorways - cw1 to frame and cw 5 to wear! But I also like cw 13....I love quirky designs!

I know.....what on earth were we thinking and how naïve we were!! Thank heavens for TPF where others understand us. My IRL friends think I am nuts. [emoji38]

Luckily my colleagues rarely notice me wearing different ones - only two of them know the price of 90 silks, and they all would probably do big time eye rolls if they knew about the other scarves’ prices:-)

I also started in 2016. It started with vintage scarves. Then I fell in love with Parures de Samurai and bought my first new scarf from the boutique as a special treat. It was supposed to be an occasional treat. Then it became several a season... I had a meltdown recently about the thousands of dollars I’ve spent on new H scarves these past two years. But, hey, I love them. I wear them everyday. I’m not putting myself into debt. They bring me great happiness. I LOVE this thread every time the new seasons roll around. It’s just so exciting to see the new designs and hear what fellow scarfies like and don’t like. Can’t wait to see more mod shots!

The real trouble starts when you get hunting past seasons grails, the time, the money, the bargaining with yourself, how important is a pristine scarf vs it being rare and/or in a rarely seen CW etc - it definitely distracts from hunting new seasons:smile:

I got the eye rolls back in the 80s when I glommed on to HS due to a NM boutique (sadly now gone) was near me. Only one person really knew anything about them but I'm sure his eyerolls were contagious. ("Did you see what she's wearing?!!!).
This was years ago. Meanwhile big houses, boats, travel and the occasional horse have preoccupied my colleagues. A scarf is trivial in those circumstances! Not important!

Even if it lacks detail compared to the 90 I am still ecstatic to finally be getting a Sieste! As I don't have a 90 I will be none the wiser anyway! [emoji38][emoji4]
There may have been a bit of a lack of detail somewhat evident to me when I was scrolling thru tpf photos. But, oh, my, the Siestes were jaw-dropping! Siestes have a powerful beauty about them!

You are versatile and talented in scarf-tying. Made me appreciate the animalopis much more. Do you think it's possible to tie it so that the big monster in the upper corner can be displayed? I like that big guy.

Ha “Godzilla”! Took a bunch of all the monsters

I am seriously agog at your display skills . . you really know how to work a monster! :) I'm quite impressed by that eyeball -- is it in a fish?

I hear you! I've been disappointed in the condition of some recent pre-loved purchases. The benefits of that experience are 1) I've learned what's most important to me - "pristine" over other factors, and 2) might be time to focus on new season offerings for a while. Not a bad outcome.
