That’s a huge job that I think they would likely refuse to do. It would be like rebuilding the entire bag from scratch after unsewing it all. If they do agree, the price would surely be in the thousands. They’d likely just recommend trying to smooth it somehow (maybe with heat and pressure). Please let us know what they say if you do take it in!
Yea, I think you’re right. I spoke with my SA and he thinks it’s better to just see what they can do as is. I’ll get a quote regardless to see what the damage would be. I’ll be taking it in a couple of weeks and will report back the pricing. It needs to have the edges touched up anyways.
May I know which store you sent your bag to? 3 weeks is really fast I was quoted up 8 months recently when I checked with customer serviceJust wanted to share that I recently sent my B35 (Togo) to HermesSpa located in Singapore for some minor works.
The total actual duration (from the day I sent it to the store till I can collect) was just 3 weeks!
Here is a breakdown of the pricing for those who are keen to know:
- Cleaning + Make Up + Finishing (Bag) – SGD $385
- Re glue + Finishing the Side Strap (Bag) – SGD $300
I was charged $1100 to replace kelly handle, chapes, rings and flap plates. They threw in the spa for free and also redid a top stitch for free because I also replaced touret clasp (210) side strap plates $100. Total $1460. Apparently, they misquoted me and it was supposed to be $2100. The $1100 price became $1430 on final pick up --9 months later after it went to Paris. But they honored their earlier quote.

I lost out on the eBay listing. It was $4,999 at the time with the ripped handle but was very good condition everywhere else. Blah! LOL

Hi, I have a vintage exotic kelly 32, I see they replaced your zipper on the receipt? My zipper is getting a little stiff.. I'm wondering if they are able to replace the interior zipper on an exotic?
Not OP, but looking at the invoice I think they just replaced the leather tab on the zip, not the whole zip.
I was recently quoted $350 for lock, keys and clochette. Practically double the price that the other poster was quoted. Im annoyed at this huge discrepancy.Thanks for posting this.
As we have gone through God knows how many price increases and inflation, does anyone have any recent pricing (i.e. late 2023 or 2024) on lock/key replacement?
I recently replaced my kelly handle and side leather tabs. I paid $1150 for: handle, chapes, rings and flap plates. I copied the quote directly from the repair manager's text. That was March 2024.
